Great Experience. We have used CabinetApp twice now for our projects. Initially we tried the service for a Kitchen pantry and discovered the quality of materials, the flexibility of the configurations and the ability to DIY and save money was unbeatable. We then chose CabinetApp as our solution for our full Kitchen reno project. Once again they delivered a great product/solution for us that compared with high end designer kitchens at a fraction of the price due to the saving on labour costs.
Keep in mind, however, you need to know what you are doing. You need to have good tools (Table Saw, Miter Saw) and a some woodworking talent if you are taking on larger projects (Islands, Valences, Range Hoods etc.)
The CabinetApp website provides a flexible array of cabinet options and trim components to allow you to design complex solutions. By piecing together various trim components you can configure many unique designs. One note: You need to know what you are doing and should have some experience with todays decorating styles. You need to make sure you get all your dimensions correct and have a good understanding of tying your cabinets together with the necessary trim components. CabinetApp team does not correct your mistakes or provide excessive guidance. They do provide some feedback and are willing to make small ad-hoc adjustments, but they assume you have some experience with woodworking and installation.
We chose standard shaker doors and white cabinetry. The factory finishes were perfect. The wood and MDF components are all 3/4" and 7/8" and the slides and hinge hardware is all top grade. You end up with sturdy, solid cabinets that stand up much better than the inferior Big Box store products.
I will be using CabinetApp again and highly recommend to anyone who has the time to DIY.

CabinetApp is a truly amazing tool available for people to really be able to customize millwork to their exact specifications.

I found CabinetApp when looking for alternatives for custom millwork that allowed me to design the millwork myself, and install the millwork with the help of my contractor.

I am not a contractor or designer, so there was certainly a learning curve. That said, once I learned how to use the dashboard and how millwork is ordered, I was able to create, with the help of my contractor (who helped me take measurements and with the installation) custom millwork pieces that are nicer than I could have ever imagined.

Neighbours, family, friends, other tradesmen who have been in and out of my home throughout the renovation process, have all commented on the millwork. They are shocked to find out that it was designed by me, ordered through and manufactured by CabinetApp, and installed by my contractor.

I’ve had trades people on the spot ask me for CabinetApps info, and ask me to show them the dashboard. Even my contractor, after installing the millwork, was so impressed with the quality that he asked me to sit down and teach him how to use the dashboard so he can offer customizable millwork to other clients as an alternative/middle ground to Ikea and custom millwork companies.

Shoutout to Sandra and Mehdi, who both were so helpful every time I came to them with questions and who gave me guidance allowing me to learn how to use CabinetApp to its full potential, to make beautiful millwork and pieces of furniture. Now that I have learned how to use this dashboard, and have the knowledge on how to order the building blocks to create my own designs, I will certainly be using CabinetApp moving forward on all my millwork projects.

I've used cabinetapp on two small projects -- some built-ins on either side of my fireplace, as well as a built-in linen cabinet in my upstairs hallway. I'm very pleased with the quality of the cabinets and the paint finish. They also called me after I'd placed both orders online, with questions that ultimately led to alterations for issues I hadn't considered. I found the online project design dashboard easy to use. I also think the pricing is excellent for such a high quality product.

CabinetApp is great. It takes a little getting used to the ordering process but their team was patient at every step of the way. The kitchen arrived on time and was easy to install. My small kitchen turned out as designed thanks to CabinetApp! Due to space restrictions, some custom cabinets pieces were required for my project, however, there wasn't much selection in box stores or Ikea (chronic out-of-stock). It was a relief to find CabinetApp whereby cabinet measurements could be fine-tuned to your exact space and the quality of material and colour choice are fantastic. Sandra was AMAZING in helping me with my order as well as making suggestions that enhanced the outcome. I highly recommend CabinetApp!

Excellent quality and customer service. I used cabinetapp for a built in unit in my home which is over 100 years old and required some very odd sizes in order to fit. The cabinets were exactly as ordered and the finishes were perfect. Upon assembly I had a small issue with one of the hinges, I emailed the Cabinetapp representative and she happily mailed me a new hinge no questions asked. I would highly recommend Cabinetapp and will definitely use them for any future projects.
