I have been trying to make an appointment for the past month and still can't do it, as you have to register/open an online account. That's not a problem; however, the problem is the information being asked for to create the account, which some people don't have those information. I have tried to call multiple times WITHOUT an answer. I went to the office and I was stop at the entres on the building, asking me if I have an appoiment, I have explain the situations, and the security person said: "Sorry, but you cant go upstairs..." Can someone please advise how can I get to them. This is so redicious, so imbarising that there is no other way to get in touch with thos people because i cant call them "Romanian Goverment or The People that represent Romania"

We had a great experience at the Romanian Consulate in Los Angeles and we noted several positive changes impacting the support provided to Romanian citizens residing in the jurisdiction of this office.

The Consuls are fully dedicated to serving the community. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine concern for the well-being of the community are outstanding.

We were fortunate to have their support and attention to detail for the completion of several Romanian documents, and for some papers there have been errors/ typos involved in the spelling of our names, which they addressed with exceptional clarity and accuracy.

While waiting in the office for our turn, we noticed the Consuls’ high level of professionalism and efficiency in addressing inquiries, assisting with documentation, or providing guidance on various matters, many times going above and beyond to ensure that every individual received the assistance they need.
The office relations with the public are well organized and run very efficiently ensuring that everyone is served in a timely manner and is given full attention.

Besides the exceptional level of service, we commend the Romanian Consulate General’s ongoing efforts to promote cultural exchange and strengthen relations between Romania, United States, and other countries represented by their respective consulates in California. We follow Ms. Consul General Lucia Sava’s cultural exchanges and activities, and this makes us proud.

We take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Consul General Lucia SAVA and Mr. Consuls Iulian-Marian BĂRBOS and Cristian VANGHELICI, as well as the entire Consulate team for their outstanding service, dedication, and professionalism.

Disappointed with the Romanian Consulate in Los Angeles. My application has been 'sent for validation' for over 4 months with no updates, despite multiple follow-ups. I haven't received any response to my e-mails. Unfortunately, I cannot withdraw my application and reapply elsewhere, leaving me stuck in the process. Hoping to receive some answers soon.

I recently had two appointments at the consulate, and each experience was nothing short of exceptional. Contrary to feedback I previously received and some reviews I read, the process was smooth, efficient, and pleasantly surprising. Not only were our concerns addressed promptly, but the turnaround was much faster than anticipated. Every person we have interacted at the consulate with was patient, professional, and incredibly helpful. I have to admit the online system was a bit too thorough and our petitions needed revision a few times before we could secure an appointment. But if you read carefully and follow the instructions to the letter, you should have no problem. Word of advice: Start your online process well in advance as it requires meticulous attention, and the wait for an appointment can be lengthy unless there are last minute cancellations. Overall I found the entire process excellent. Thank you to the entire consulate staff! You made our first visit an excellent experience!

Great experience, very helpful and professional behavior on behalf of the Consulate personnel. Very helpful in correcting some mistakes made during on line filling the form to get the POA (Power of Attorney) to sell property in Romania. Worth waiting almost two months for the appointment. Keep in mind to have the $3,00 cash notarial fee (the only payment method available). Metered parking available, $1.00 (only one hour available) but parking spots are limited. Did not accepted my credit card but my ATM was OK, or you may need coins ($1.00 or 0.25c). I was done in 30 minutes with all dealings.
