There are many great things I could say about my experience with Snakes on a Plain and the training I received from Sheri. So let’s dive in!
Snakes (aka Danger Noodles) have such a bad reputation and Sheri is doing gods work and teaching people that snakes can be friends and deserve a brake on the road just as much as any other animal. Thank you Sheri for sharing your knowledge and respect for Prairie Rattlesnakes. I’d give 6 stars if I could.

This past September I had the privilege of spending several days with Sheri Monk out in the field visiting prairie rattlesnake den sites. Her knowledge and passion regarding these often misunderstood animals was exceptional...really made evident when Sheri was teaching one of her classes on the last day of my visit. Monk presented the attendees (mostly young biologists) with an engaging and informative presentation, part of which occurred out in the field.

Recently, myself and other members of the Saskatchewan Chapter of the Wildlife Society attended a snake safety training with Sheri. The course was exceptional – engaging, informative, and incredibly valuable. We learned about behaviour, crucial habitat features, life history, best practices while in rattlesnake country, and conservation challenges. Observing and learning about snake behaviour was definitely a highlight for me!

Aside from her outstanding training course, Sheri’s dedication to mitigating human-wildlife conflict and conserving snakes is inspirational. It’s remarkable how she travels the world to observe snakes and extends her expertise and beyond wildlife education, being involved in healthcare and journalism. Sheri impacts people and wildlife – a real-life superhero. Thank you, Sheri!

Went to a snake training and safety seminar this weekend. Highly recommended if you have ANY reservations about snakes of any kind, but especially the ones we deal with here in Alberta. The class was in Medicine Hat where the rattle snakes are very common in the parks and bike paths. I learned so much and after the first sighting was so much more comfortable on how to react when I see one and how to keep my self and my pets safe.
For the price you cant get better instruction. So happy to check another item off my bucket list.

On 06th June when I working, around 2245 hrs I was informed that there was a rattlesnake outside the office door. I called the wildlife helpline number, which went unanswered. Then called 911, gave the details, and Voila! these two ladies were at the location in no time. They proceeded with the task very professionally by gently handling the snake and securing it in a box. From start to finish it took less than 30 seconds. They made it look so easy and I believe it is due to their rigorous training and love for what they do. It was a pleasure to see them work. They are the unsung heroes who keep the snakes safe and humans from harm’s way. I wish them and the organization success.

Me and 2 coworkers did the snake training with Sheri last month. Any consulting company working down south should definitely require this training as it is incredibly valuable to have experience encountering rattle snakes with an expert next to you! I gained greater appreciation and understanding of snakes. Thank you Sheri for the important snake conservation and education work you do!

I did a snake safety course for work and Sheri was amazing!! She knows everything there is to know about snakes and that type of wildlife. I learnt so much about snake behaviour and how to manage when around them in a work situation! Highly recommend for work safety and for facing personal fears!
