I found the overall experience with them to be very helpful. From the intake specialist to the trustee himself, everyone was so warm and encouraging. Very pleased with the service, as taking the step towards freeing myself from the burden of financial insecurity was a hard first step to take. I wanted to take a minute and thank Sandy Lyons, of Bromwich & Smith Lethbridge
.To say that my family & I were beyond stressed out & skeptical for what Sandy could do for us, would be an under statement.
The recession of 2007 hit us hard. Our family business of over 25 years was failing. We had done everything in our power to save it. This was not only a financially challenging time for us, but one of the most emotional. I had never seen my parents in such a state of array. Everything we'd worked for, was now being sold at auction.
When we came to see Sandy, I am sure we were one of his most challenging cases. Not only because of the state of our business financially, but of how emotional we all were about what was happening. We didn't know what else we could do.
Sandy handled our situation with professionalism & explained our options in terms we could understand. He also understood the loss we were facing, and what it meant to us. He helped us through every step of the way. Dealing with not only CRA, AFSC and the ruthless lawyers that came with all of that, but other debts as well. He gave us viable options.

Bromwich and Smith is a company with a heart. If you are struggling, please go talk to them. They will help you, and you will only pay what you can afford. To this day it is one of the hardest things I've ever had to deal with, but Sandy Lyons & the staff made it much more bearable. I don't like to think about how things would have played out, had we not met Sandy Lyons.

They are both compassionate and understanding. They really listen to you which is very rare these days. If there is a way to not declare bankruptcy they will find a solution, they will check for all alternatives or options.

When my husband developed serious health problems and could no longer work we tried to keep payments on everything up to date. We couldn't and decided we would have to file for bankruptcy.

We talked to one of the company's advisors and were treated with respect and kindness. They explained every step we would have to go through clearly.

If we had a question they answered them without hesitation. A very professional place, but more importantly, a very understanding and kind company. I would highly recommend them for anyone who is thinking about the large step of bankruptcy.
