SAVE YOUR MONEY!! They tried to charge me $45 to drop of less than 100 pounds of wood. It was just one wooden twin bunk frame, a shower curtain rod and a couple of metal washer hoses. Save your money and go to GFL it would have been like 5 dollars! Expensive dump Holy smokes!

Won't take recycling the last time I went there stating they didn't take cardboard, this time they wouldn't take yard waste. Stating half of it was too heavy (wet grass clippings from the compost). Also they could charge you $5 or $30 for the same amount depending on who looks at your load. Just unorganized and not worth the drive as you never know what's going to happen. I'm done going here wasting time.

Covid -19 Protocols needed! Yesterday was a horrid experience at the the A & P Garbage site in Sooke. A worker came right up to us and proceeded to go into the back hatch to see what we had...He did not social distance at all and rudely dismissed my concerns. (Like they did last time 2 months ago.) Two months later and thousands have died and suffered and they still have not changed their behaviour to show their concern for others and to do their part in helping keep the residents of Sooke and area Covid-19 free. They need to set up Covid-19 protocol and stop putting themselves, their families and their customers at risk. I am appalled at this ignorant and disrespectful behaviour at a Sooke business.

These guys provide a valuable community service and it doesn't look like they're getting rich doing a job that is so important to the town. And if they can't take it, they're happy to tell you how to dispose of it properly.
