Humayra Anannya from Sooke office is very helpful. I have been dealing with her for all my insurance coverages since 2022. She is very friendly and customer oriented. Happy to deal with Western Coast Insurance as she makes all the transactions easy. Even, I can avoid queue when doing my insurance over the phone. I appreciate her kind support and making insurance transactions easy for me.

Worst experience ever just trying to renew my auto insurance. The agent tried to steer me to their private insurance, and I declined, staying with ICBC. The agent asked me why I didn't choose WCS, and I stated that I had not been treated well as a customer there. The agent asked me to explain. I told her that I did not have to explain. My refusal eventually led to a personal confrontation that had absolutely nothing to do with my auto insurance and everything to do with the incompetence and rude behaviour of the staff demonstrated previously and reinforced today. The situation escalated to the point that I requested a supervisor's intervention. I was able to complete my renewal with the supervisor without incident. It seems that courtesy and good business sense are foreign languages not spoken here. I won't be back. And finally there was a discrepancy between the quotes offered by the first agent and the final cost of the ICBC renewal...significantly lower than the quotes. This deliberate misrepresentation has no place in an insurance office...in any office, for that matter.

Worse ever experience. After years of having them for our home insurance they decided to deny our invoices sent to them at their request for home improvements. They would not renew without having a service call verify improvements. We decided we did not like how they were treating us. Then after going elsewhere they are harassing us continually anyway they can. Just want to have them GO AWAY!!!!!

I recently visited Western Coast to transfer my Ontario license and car, I had called ICBC the day before and was told I only needed my license and birth certificate as im a fully licensed driver in ON. Upon telling an employee my name and reason for being there, another agent poked his head out and said well do you have your birth certificate, or passport, I promptly said yes, then he asked for my driver's abstract. Which I wasn't told I needed. Luckily I had one issued before I moved for work, but apparently the 3 year transcript wasn't enough. He made a call. Said it was okay, then denied me when I told him my license had expired briefly in 2018, although I've had my license since 2013, which it says on my abstract and license. His reason for denying me was that it didn't show each year that I received each one of my licenses. He made no effort to give me advice, or help, he was kind of rude and acted bothered to help me, I left in tears.
