Please see the pictures added of the drawers. What we received is nothing like what we were shown in the showroom. We expanded our kitchen considerably but there is less storage because I cannot safely store our things in them. We were told the drawers would hold over 50 pounds. That is not true. The drawer bottoms are non structural, thin pressed material like you would find on the back of an inexpensive book shelf or an old speaker. The tiny staples used in the construction... have ripped through the product.
*Also, the comments the owner makes are untrue.
Pictured is the island we paid $10,000 for. It is not the wood we ordered. BMK refuses to replace it. They say it is "custom". It doesn't have wood sides like the display islands in the showroom, website and catalogue. The sides look like plastic. The finish, whatever it is, rubs off. The BMK owner insists we call it veneer. They used a wax crayon to colour in the worn parts from delivery/install. The island is not customized, as promised. It is not complete. Not only is it the wrong material, it is missing drawers and toe kicks. We can't finish our electric and paint contracts because BMK refuses to complete the kitchen.
Countertops, wow, not what we were expecting. We paid an additional $4,000 for an extra piece of quartz for this into the window sill look, pictured below. Doesn't it look nice? Our 10 moldings were in perfect condition before their installer did this. BMK thinks it is okay to leave it like this, just walk away.
The many quality issues, may be harder to see in photos but the kitchen is loaded with paint flaws, gaps, warping, bowing. The extra charge, self-close hinges don't work because the upper drawers sag and hit the lower drawers. We need an air compressor now to clean our kitchen, the owner's advice, after we paid.
The two sibling owners, one our sales person, have never even bothered to see our kitchen.
As you can see from BMK comments, these many issues are our fault. They say they want to fix and finish the kitchen, in public posts, while degrading us. We have been asking and waiting for 15 months now. If what they say were true, we would have nothing to post..

As an interior designer and project manager for Design Alley interiors and renovations, I have worked with many custom millwork companies over the years. We have incredibly high expectations for any company that we recommend to our clients, and Blue Mountain Kitchens has been our choice for close to 10 years now. From first meeting & measure to conceptual, right through to delivery, installation, and finally after sales service; Blue Mountain continues to give Design Alley clients the best of the best! We are proud to say that Blue Mountain Kitchens is our millwork company of choice.

Sincerely,
Michelle & Ronnie

Had their cabinet installed 3 years ago. One of the hinges broke, not quality issues but by misuse. I sent an email to the customer service to order a part, and Sarah replied right away, and mailed it to us at no charge, and it came very quickly. It was a simple thing but you really don't get such a nice, efficient customer service in Canada very often. Very happy with their excellent customer service quality.

Jared and his team are beyond awesome. Jared designs your kitchen then brings it to life with 3D renderings out of Sketch Up. This means you know what to expect and get the job done to your total satisfaction. I would not hesitate at all to use Blue Mountain Kitchens for projects ranging from high end West Van kitchens to affordable basement suites.

Terrible service, defective poor quality cabinets, no warranty. They ordered and installed the wrong island and refuse to replace it. There are unpainted gaps in the 47 fiberboard cabinet doors, the owner Jared said to "clean often and use an air compressor". The quartz countertop was damaged, not cut to fit, seams not matched. Our house was damaged. This will be our second Christmas with this expensive, unfinished, "custom" Blue Mountain kitchen. We are missing drawers, trim, and toe kicks. The doors, drawers and cabinets are warped, bowing, chipped, paint damaged. They sent their "expert to help us", he reported the kitchen was perfect. Unlike the contract states, they demand payment before delivery 'or they will not deliver and install'. Instead of fulfilling their many promises of service, warranty, customer satisfaction, etc., they walk away. They told us to take them to a tribunal or small claims court since the beginning. Instead of addressing issues they fabricate stories to blame the customer.

We had an excellent experience with Blue Mountain Kitchens. Vivian was easy to work with and we appreciated her design expertise, product knowledge and creativity. Lisa provided good communication for time commitments every step of the way. Kevin, the installer, was professional, pleasant, tidy and his workmanship was meticulous. We highly recommend Blue Mountain Kitchens and we now have the perfect kitchen for our needs. Thank you everyone!
