Just got a call saying I missed today’s appointment my son has not been to the clinic in over a year. She asked if I received an email confirmation, nope we checked the email and it was put in incorrectly. I am now told I have to pay 150.00 dollars for the missed appointment. The Dr. We saw was lovely and not the receptionist fault. However to assume after a year I should just remember an appointment and never confirmed when the follow up was sent out because I didn’t receive it do to their error . Seems a little ridiculous and not sure if I want to continue any care for me son.

An all around wonderful experience! Dr Friesen was great, very thorough both during our phone appointment and in clinic visit. Dr Friesen and the other woman (I didn’t catch her name) working there with him were both incredibly friendly and made it a very pleasant experience. We were contacted quickly after our referral was sent in and the wait for an appointment was minimal.

After moving back to Alberta we were looking for a pediatrician for our son. We asked a few other moms we new and they recommended us ones in Calgary saying these guys were terrible. I thought they were joking so I thought I would try them out. We got referred to in August of last year, and still ask of January we havent seen then once. Up to 7 month wait. They kept either ignoring us or giving excuses not to see us. Our physiotherapist and other doctors even contacted them to try getting them to see us, as our son still needs constant attention. Terrible joke these guys are. Got referred to Kiwi pediatric clinic in Calgary, they called us a few days later with an appointment! I highly recommend them, or anyone other than these clowns.

Dr Frisen is the best, more Knowledgeable and loving doctor my son ever had. My son is well cared. His condition has improved, thanks to Dr Friesen. I Have recommended to many of my friends because I trust that Dr. Frisen is the best help that our loved and precious kids can have it.

My son was with this clinic since he was born due to his condition. First Dr. Redgate - she was amazing, but then Dr. Friesen, in whom I am very disappointed. He seams nice during the appointment, but does nothing after that. Had to advocate not once to get a referral. Then we moved to different city and I asked for the referral to paediatrician there, and it’s been 2 months and he hasn’t sent one. Countless calls and emails, but he seams to be too busy or ignorant to make sure his little patient has required care in a new place. The stuff at the desk are very nice at this clinic and do their job, but the job that has to be done on the Dr. Friesen’s end - doesn’t get done.

Communication is not sufficient. They don't answer the phone, you have to leave messages and it takes usually a week to get back to you. They don't answer emails. Requests take a long time and A LOT of follow up. We brought issues about our child's health to the doctor, and give very thorough details of the symptoms and tell him what we've tried and get brushed off. They assigned us a social worker, who we would send questions or concerns to and it would never go further than that. Our child also had an abnormal EEG and the doctor literally LAUGHED, said he didn't understand the report, and assumed it meant nothing and didn't bother following up with the hospital. That was the last straw. We got a referral to another pediatrician who takes our concerns and our child's health seriously and his health is improving. Oh, and as for the abnormal EEG...turns out our child has epilepsy!!!

We are very happy with the quality of care provided by Dr Klym. Great diagnoses and treatment. She is so far the most helpful doctor that we have consulted regarding our daughter. Highly recommend.
