Simco, lately, is WAY better then before. Since Elliot Kerr has left the company the communication is better. Christine Pratt's response is real quick. Maintenance personal is much better. Colin(emergency guy) is amazing. Keep it up!

The building has water leaking issue since LAST JUNE! Other than ripping up the carpet and drywall in my unit, nothing was done in 15 months. Promised the repair would finally start two weeks ago and still nothing. Just lies and not replying to messages. Terrible company! A senior has been living in that environment for the past 15 months! Considering taking legal actions against the the company and condo board.

This condo management company has rightly earned their terrible reputation. If you are looking to buy a condo and see Simco Management as the company overseeing the building - don’t buy there. Keep looking. Horrible!
One example: I sent an email on July 11, 2023 asking them to fix the burnt out light above my parking stall. In total I sent 3 emails. As of this writing the light has not been replaced and is still out leaving the area around my car darkened. I pay almost $600.00 a month in condo fees and I don’t know what for.

Yes, I see the comment saying I have a problem with the condo board. That is true and with good reason.

Christine was great to deal with and I originally thought 1 star, but I feel they have done much better. I did ask for a call back, to confirm they got payment. I do feel they could improve on some things. Example the 5th wheel hanging out in the back where ppl are living in it. Ted said no one is, but I know the girl who’s living in the trailer bcuZ she use to live in the complex with her ex Chris. I do wish Simco would look into it! I don’t pay condo fees so we have squatter’s in the back….

I was going to wait to hear back from Simco prior to me writing this, knowing I would not hear back I decided to give my 2 cents.

Our property manager is Ray Pratt, he is useless. He never returns calls, emails or texts. I was informed he is the company owner. Well la de da, that’s no excuse for poor management, time management or what ever the problem may be that restricts him from reaching out to the people who employ him and his firm.

As of recently, 2021, I requested when our AGM is, no response still. There is a time frame of when you should be having them, by law, keep on this if you use Simco as Simco will push the frequency to the limit. Management by avoidance is a bad way of managing anything, this is Simco’s style.

I have experienced other property management companies, currently dealing with a great one in my current residency, they return all calls or emails from anyone who reaches out.

Simco is the bottom of the barrel, Cracker Jack box or how ever you would like to put it.
I strongly recommend taking your time and having a proper decision for a property management if the board you are on are considering this one. Nothing but huge disappointments from Simco!

Addition, you all can see Ray months later states they did reach out and yet I submitted this post months prior. Reaching out once does not negate the years of neglect and poor management. This property management is not one I would recommend to anyone out there. Period.

This management company is a disaster! The worst company that I have ever seen!
I have had to deal with them over the past 6 yrs since they were "managing?" the complex that I had a property in. Words can not describe how incapable and inefficient they are. It takes ages before they deal with a simple task. A high school kid with basic skills can manage a property better that them. Don't waste your time and money by hiring them!

These people are nightmare! I decided to take legal actions against them, someone has to! They wrote notes and put on the doors informing tenants about parking cleaning. Then they changed the date ( and informed us through the note… hello, 21 st century, there is that thing called “email “). They hired company to move cars that were not moved and that company charged tenants for towing vehicles. How can you touch someone’s property without consent?What if someone took 1 month vacation and wasn’t here to see note? They are crazy! In addition the manager Robin never responds to emails,calls or texts and I am sick of them! This is really too much!

To add to your previous response that you just posted-you are disclosing private information! You are mentioning individual that is not mentioned here and you have no idea who I was consulting not to mention that even if you know private information (like license to practice law in Canada etc.) you are NOT allowed to disclose! This move your response asap or we will have serious problems. We solved issues thanks to the Condo Board (not Simco!), and since they are really good guys they helped us so stop it right here right now please.

How this incompetent property management with their useless manager are still a legitimate business is beyond me.
Talk about giving people/business' a chance.

The next condo/ apartment I live in, I'll make sure it's not where they are involved.

Standard of service and response to concerns does not even warrant them a 1 star. If google had an option of 0 that's what this property "management" company deserves.
