Might just be the worst dump in Canada! Long lines, useless staff, and unnecessary dumping processes. There’s no good reason for them to only allow tip trucks to the landfill. Business needs new management, dump could be easily optimized.

Only one person on scale, ridiculously slow. They don’t allow you to go to the commercial landfill unless you have a tip up bed. There is no good reason for this policy, there are plenty of dumps with steeper inclines, loose soil, etc. it’s ridiculous how they choose to make you go to the bins, even when your driving a 3 ton cube van. If you can take the time to make your way to another dump, it’s while worth it. Will not be returning here.

All the staff here are awesome. The girls in the booth to all the people in the yard. Literally just moved here and it's super refreshing to see so many people so willing to help. It's a learning curve moving to a new city and it's hilarious that going to the dump has been an actual enjoyable experience đŸ€Ł

I had a toaster oven and a small camping fuel tank. I’d never been here before, so initially went to the residential section. The ladies there were smoking, just not necessary while on the job imo (pregnant lady speaking here!) and they said they didn’t take toaster ovens at the landfill but I could take my fuel tank up to the landfill section. (These gals would get 2 stars)

BUT, the folks up at the landfill section were awesome, very friendly. And yes ladies, they do take toaster ovens (bin #5!). I’m really ignorant about the whole system, but I feel like once you’ve driven out to Timbuktu to responsibly deal with your stuff, they should take it - even if it’s for a reasonable fee. I just found annoying all the “we take this but not that” signage.

Four stars because I just think that it could be laid out in a bit more user friendly way
like, get some icon/graphic signs. BUT, the personal direction made up for that - very friendly and helpful. And let the ignorant “residential” person (like me!) know up front there won’t be a charge. Again, ignorance speaking here but calling it all “landfill” makes it sound like it’s all going in a big hole. But, it’s not if they have you sort it so rigorously. So, a rename would be in order too. Like, “landfill and recycling center” with the tag line, “YES, we take everything.”

Staff here are very friendly, I understand wait times are a little long at times, and there is only one person at the both, it's not there fault its their employer and the city doesn't run this site anymore. I always check with the staff at the bins to make sure where to go and they are very helpful. Thank you to the staff.

Drove by in the morning and afternoon, both times the lineup for the landfill was lined up down Matheson which means 1hr - 1.5hr wait to get in and line up to leave.
It's faster and more efficient to launch my waste into sun then deal Bailey.

What's up with having a huge steel bar mounted right in the way of tossing trash into the bin?
If your looking for ideas to run an inefficient facility this is it!

One staff member working the entire scale and payment system for residential and commercial is not adequate.
Lines up wait times are unreasonable.
Alot of time, fuel and resources wasted for everyone including the city fitting the bill for a flagging crew to manage lines overflowing on to the public highway.

As others have mentioned, please hire more staff for the entry/exit booth, there's only one person in there and line ups are long and painful. I'm here on a Thursday 1100 am and there's 8 vehicles in line!
Other than wait times everything runs smoothly.
