Rude staff, and prices are way over priced! I am 30 weeks pregnant and needed to use bathroom badly, the worker at the till was extremely rude. I asked to use bathroom please and in the rudest tone ever she goes “yep” and doesn’t say anything else
. So I say “do I need a key?” And she goes “yep but you need to wait a few minutes I am busy” then she hands me the key that is right under the counter where she was standing. She hands it to me and says with glare and a rude tone “you’re welcome! The least you can say is thank you” she didn’t even let me say thank you as she handed me key and said you’re welcome. Rude employee. Needless to say I didn’t bother using the bathroom, I just left. I wasn’t rude at all, used my manners etc.

When did bibles for mission become as expensive as buying new?
Or as expensive as Value Village?

I was so excited to see a older wheel barrow with marker all over it with the name Wilson.

I went to take it yet saw the price tag! 60$ for a old marked up wheel barrow.

I highly advice you who want to donate here to please consider to place it for free on Market place or in the free FB group so lower working incomes families can afford it.

Thank you!

If I could give them no stars, I would. Ridiculous prices now. They used to be cheap and affordable, but now it’s $3 for a cheap picture frame with the price tag still on it for $3.99. What a steal. I went in and wanted to get a set of curtains. They were hanging on the exact same hanger, no signs saying that they are sold separately, and only one curtain was priced per set. Of course I thought it was $5 for the set, wrong it’s $5 each. I spoke with the owner and he was really rude, saying how dumb it is that customers don’t seem to clue in that it’s for each panel. I told him he should atleast put a sign up or have them on different hangers with their own price tags, but he just blew me off. Never coming back. Will go to Thrifty Boutique around the corner. Atleast they are not rude and will give you the time of day. Plus, they have the most reasonable and affordable prices for low income families.
This used to be one of my favourite thrift stores growing up, but it’s terrible now. Every time I go in I always hear customers talking about the prices and how crazy they have become.

What a wonderful store and staff.

I was in yesterday with my 7 year old son. He’s autistic and is obsessed with stuffies. I mean, obsessed! He picked out a few and we were delighted with the very reasonable pricing. (I was anyway. 😏)

I do what I can to give him joy and I was back the next day to look for more furry friends that I could stash away and slowly “surprise” him with in the weeks to come.

I was greeted by the most friendly man (I think the store manager). At first, I think he was surprised to see me loading up quite a few toys, but when I explained, I think he really understood what I was doing there. I could feel his compassion, empathy and understanding.

Raising a ND child is hard, but being able to support his interests and see his face absolutely light up without breaking the bank is such an incredible help. It’s truly hard to be him most of the time, so I try to do things like this for him to help balance out his suffering.

I guess this is a very long winded review to say, I am very grateful and so is he. 😍

Thank you for doing your work. It makes a difference.

Jessilee and Gabriel. 💐

The store has changed so much! The new owner completely ignores me and another customer comes in and gets a hello how are you? The young girl at the cashier is always grouchy faced never smiles or says hello not once..and an older lady maybe Russian doesn’t speak fluent English she over charges I don’t think she knows how to use the till or comprehends numbers very well..always check your receipts!! I find a lot of items over priced and can find them cheaper at the dollar store..The stuff they have was donated to the store..so, why are they selling things for so much..the store has always been one set price and affordable for less fortunate and it’s sad when you can’t afford an item from a second hand store!! Come on BFM owner give your head a shake!! I’m not donating my stuff to them anymore!!
