My husband had an initial conversation with Lilly a couple days ago and then we scheduled a zoom meeting with Lily to talk about more details about the corporate tax filing details with Lilly. She didn't show up. I called her cell on her email. She apologized and told me it was Friday and her alarm didn't go off. Ok, understood.

Then she came to the meeting 10 minutes late. I told her I'm very new to the corporate tax stuff and I wanted to get more details about it. She started to tell me some basic information that I already knew so I started asking her if she could give me some specific details, like numbers about personal tax planning. Then she got a bit more annoyed and impatient as if I was questioning her professionalism. Then I wanted to ask about the details about her fees and what services included. She gave me the quote and since I talked with other accounting firms, I kind of knew the average so I said the fees you gave me is a little bit above average. Then she got really annoyed and said we are CPA firms. We have 5 staff. we are very experienced... all that stuff. Then she said if you wanted to do corporate investment tax filing there's gonna be more fees. Then she said, "It seems like fee is really your concern. I don't think we are good fit. "

As a potential client and a small business owner, I think I have every right to be concerned about fees. If I think your fee is more than average, I want to know the reason and want to be convinced. If you are providing extraordinary services, I'm willing to pay more. But even at the very first meeting, you showed your ego and unprofessionalism. How can you convince me to work with you in the future?
