There is a police report /investigation July 2018 regarding Marek Properties involving criminal code section 380- Fraud. "everyone who, by deceit, falsehood or other fraudulent means, defrauds the public of any property or money...." As an owner, I have tried to contact Marek for 6 weeks thru mail, contact forms and phone calls and he has not returned one call or tried to contact me in any way. His receptionist angela squirrel, when asked to contact him for me, threatens me, (I want to point out I am an owner), but instead of simply calling Marek for I can speak with, she tells me that if I do not leave the office, that she will call the police. All I wanted was to exercise my right as an owner to speak directly with the property management. They blocked me from my rights. They took money through false intentions from my co-owner, and when I want answers, threaten me of police interaction. They refuse to respond why they offered a service to my co-owner without any intention of fulfilling the service. IT WAS LIKE SAYING GIVE US A DEPOSIT FOR WE CAN TAKE YOUR MONEY AND KEEP IT BECAUSE WE DO WHATEVER WE WANT AND DON"T CARE ABOUT OWNERS" RIGHTS NOR DO WE EVERY NEED TO EXPLAIN OUR ACTIONS - so that is what they did - take money from my business partner and kept it. They took her money, and refused to give it back. They lack professionalism, their lack of respect of the rights of the owners, and overall manner in deceiving my co-owner out of $300 is disgusting. I have spoken to others that have history with Marek Property management, and there seems to be a pattern. I hope all owners who have problems with this management company come forward. They should be removed completely from handling other people's money and charged criminally for their actions
