We have been living at Lemarchant Towers for about 8 years now. I was originally renting a Bachelor unit as a student, and then transitioned to a one bedroom plus den apartment. We tried multiple times to rent elsewhere but we couldn’t find anywhere in Halifax downtown another apartment that would be equally spacious, equally comfortable in terms of storage space and with a big ocean view balcony. All the apartments that are being built in addition to the old ones, are extremely tiny, and the old ones not well maintained.
In addition to the comfort, the location of this building is extremely convenient, minutes of walking to everything. Right behind the building there is also a communo auto (carshare) location.
Most importantly, the building manager and landlord are just amazing! They are very kind people and always available if you need anything. They always go above and beyond to maintain the building in a good condition and support tenants in any possible way.
Lastly, while this building is located very centrally, it is a very quiet building and very safe, in case you are a student that you want to focus on studies or a retired couple looking for a comfortable and quiet place.
I would highly recommend Lemarchant Towers.

My daughter is a 4th year Dalhousie student and has lived at 1521 LeMarchant Towers for the past year. The building itself is safe, clean, pest-free and has wonderfully laid out apartments with tons of storage, large principal rooms and a nice outdoor balcony to enjoy the views. One of the best parts of 1521 LeMarchant Towers are the property managers, Carly and Janelle. Carly and Janelle are professional, responsive, friendly and really care about their tenants. My daughter is staying in Halifax for another year and Carly and Janelly made it so easy to transition out of our current lease into a new one that fits our evolving needs for accomodation. A++ apartment building across from Dal campus, close to downtown and all amenities with superb management.

Great place to stay, well maintained building, clean, and close to shops, parks, and transport. Great admin staff, and always very helpful. Reasonable rental rates. Would definitely recommend!

I have been a tenant in a property managed by AR Webber for several years, and it has been nothing but an extremely positive experience. ARW's prompt, thorough and proactive attention to property maintenance has been first-rate, and any questions or concerns that have ever arisen have been addressed without delay. The fact that I can reach ARW 24 hours a day not only provides me with a sense of personal security, but reflects the company's commitment to its tenants. Five Stars, without hesitation.

The worst place I have ever lived in. Not only am I paying 1600 for a shoe box but also, they tried to have my car towed the day I signed the parking lease and got a call at 11:30pm from a police officer telling me they were going to tow it but they saw a parking pass and decided to call me first because it would make no sense why they would want to tow it. Another time, I was sleeping in my apartment and woke up to hear keys but didn’t think much of it cause I was expecting my boyfriend to come home then looked up and saw the landlord standing in my doorway. He said maintenance was supposed to be there then left swiftly. I received NO email or phone call to let me know there was supposed to be maintenance and there wasn’t even anything that needed work done. Another time they were supposed to have maintenance come in and they were completely unprepared. They had to take off my cabinets and cut them wrong and didn’t bother to fix it, and left the wall covered in mud without sanding or painting after- not to mention they took everything out of my cabinets and left everything all over my floor.the building is also a sauna, they mentioned raising the heat in the winter which wasn’t so bad but they did not reduce it in the summer and offered ac units for 75$ a month- you can literally see the heat rising from the floor when you go out to the hall it’s unbearable. This doesn’t even cover half the incidences from my 7 months of living there. The whole thing is a scam and the staff is awful (especially the maintenance guys there’s 3 of them and two of them seem to pick on the third). Run far far away, I wish I did.

Excellent location, super nice staff (but one maintainance guy) and attentive owners! BUT, the apartments and appliances are a little outdated but they work good and they look not really nice as they could be looking. A little overpriced compared to other properties around. On-site laundry is the worst! Washer and dryers stink and they are moldy, expensive only small loads and a waste of water and energy. Not to mention that they'll collect the money of the machines EVERY WEEK but clean them. Thei maintanence staff keep the doors of washers and dryers closed even when they get super moldy and they WON'T clean them AT ALL. Nice new A/C for the lobby eh!
