Recently I dealt with a car theft from my rental unit. Dealing with CAA insurance for almost two weeks has been an absolute nightmare. It occurred to me in the middle of the night, that perhaps I had a spare key in the car. I called the head office of Paramount in Hfx, and within an hour they had gotten back in touch with me, placed a work order, and by noon the next day, the locks had been replaced...AND they personally dropped off keys at my place of work, as well as my sons school...so he would not get home before me and not be able to get in. Not all landlords and management places are the same. I hope to be at my location for years to come, but if that doesn't happen, I would 100% look for another Paramount location. Also, it isn't just this...they have given my two kids Halloween and Xmas treats each year, responded to my calls in a timely manner, and have been nothing but thoughtful, kind, and diligent in keeping my flat safe, secure and feeling like home. I appreciate you.

The managers, Sonya and Mike, are very helpful and accommodating for all inquiries. I highly recommend this place for anyone coming to Halifax. The building where I live has good security with cameras and requires a key to access the elevator. Great management

My roommates and I didn’t have an excellent experience with paramount management. I am not one to leave reviews however, people need to hear about the downside of this company. When first moving in we were told that we couldn’t move into the unit because the power wasn’t properly set up which turned out to be a fault of the resident manager and not us (the blame was still put on us for this mistake). When we moved in we were paying for a parking spot at the unit and the week before we were moving we were notified that we actually didn’t have a spot and we’d have to park somewhere else for two months in an area that wasn’t even close to our unit. We paid $100 for a parking spot each month in what I would say are the smallest parking spots in Halifax. My car along with two others acquired damaged because of the size of the lot. The week before we moved out our window was kicked in on the sidewalk and the fix job they did on it was horrible. You could see the entire outside letting anything come in, which required us to call again to get it fixed properly. After this they told us that a new window wouldn’t be in for 4-6 weeks which is extremely unfortunate for the new tenants. On top of everything that happened to us in the last week of living there my roommates and I decided to clean for over a week so the new tenants would at least have a clean place to live (with no window). When getting our damage deposit we were shocked to find out that we were charged and extensive cleaning fee for absolutely nothing as the unit was spotless! This seems to be a trend given the other reviews. Again, I’m sure some units are nice with this company however our experience in ours wasn’t great.

Definitely one of the best property management companies I've had to deal with. This family business truly cares about each tenant individually. It's amazing how quick the responses are and how kind our resident manager is. Highly recommend if you are looking to rent, especially long term.

We have lived at 2 separate Paramount residences and both locations have been exceptional. The Superintendents are fantastic, very friendly and incredibly helpful. Buildings are very well maintained. Very much recommend these apartments.

We have lived at Avonhurst Gardens Paramount apartment. The building is very very nice. The design, the space, and the size of the apartments are all perfect. The superintendents and managers are fantastic, very friendly and incredibly helpful. In additional, Thanks Jin Shan, she showed enthusiasm and patience when she give great helps to us.

Very much recommend this apartment.
