I cannot possibly express how dishonest, infuriating, and incompetent this company and its employees have been at every step of the Clio integration they were paid to perform. Josh Veldman "Chief Innovation Officer" has made countless promises to complete tasks by set dates and times, has promised to verify the accuracy of the data migration, and has assured us everything would be done properly over and over. We are now more than two weeks behind schedule and he has yet again missed all his deadlines and the data remains riddled with errors and problems. More telling is his constant dishonesty and unbelievable excuses. We were told everything was on schedule and would be completed weeks ago, before we got an email that they had not even been able to access our Clio account and need a two-factor authentication turned off. We've been told that their entire team was devoted to our stuff, only to be told that Josh was in another meeting for hours, but would get back to us when he was free. If Clio recommends that you pay Gauvreau to migrate your financial information, refuse at all cost. Their actions have cost our firm a great deal of time and money. We would never have migrated to Clio had we any idea that this could happen.

I had an introductory call with this firm (which they later refer to as a “complimentary” call—almost as if I should feel grateful for the opportunity to be pitched their services). Without getting into too many details, my conversation with Matthew B felt more like a formality than a meaningful discussion. To put it plainly, it was a waste of time.

I genuinely wanted this experience to go well. On the surface, the firm appears to have a solid team of professionals, but I can’t help but feel that its size and presentation are more about image than actual results.

I have 3x trade companies and a real estate business. I chose to also call them because they seemed to maybe cater to trade business’s which was appealing.

The financial services industry is unique—many small and medium-sized business owners feel overwhelmed by it, often hiring the first firm that looks impressive on paper. My advice? Choose a firm that truly takes the time to understand both you and your business, not just one that looks good from the outside.

Ultimately i let the owner of the firm know (because i would like to know when my people behave poorly) from a LinkedIn message, got a email response from a business development manager. It just didn’t feel like anyone cared.

I can’t speak to their accounting, CFO, planning services. But their sales process and pitch needs would benefit from an overhaul. Staff need more training in customer service, readiness for a call, tact.

We hired Gauvreau after meeting Bob and his extremely good sales pitch. We were interested in all services under one roof.
A couple months into our contract with Gauvreau I started to notice the bookeeping wasn’t going well. The bookkeepers never asked any questions, our old bookers always had lots of questions. (RED FLAG) Gauvreau bookeeping went ahead and did whatever was easiest for them. I received HST refunds for 4 quarters in a row. This has never happened before.
Long story short we left Gauvreau after coming to our senses and went with a local company. The new company had to start our fiscal year over there were so many problems. They found that I actually owed 92k in HST. A rather large discrepancy to say the least. I’d be happy to discuss with anyone who reads this warning.
This process has cost us significantly. I’ve spoken with Gauvreau and asked for reimbursement for the tens of thousands we’ve paid them. They refuse to admit any wrong doing.
If you’re considering using Gauvreau RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!!

Very expensive. They are professional do fast efficient work but if you are staring out I would highly suggest to find someone else. They charge an arm and a leg for their services and they aggressively go up every year.
