Ecolighten is the company Fortis uses to conduct a follow up site visit after HVAC installations to ensure compliance for Forts Rebates.

1) The man who conducted the “FaceTime” site visit spent more time talking about himself then he did conducting the assessment....well beyond what was necessary to provide the details of the program...unprofessional
2) After he was told I was very satisfied with my installer (and confirming they receive good feedback) he still attempted to recommend another HVAC for air conditioning...unprofessional.
3) After receiving information that family and friends had received their rebates, I contacted Ecolighten (yesterday) to explain the delay. They said my furnace was marked compliant and that my claim was being processed by Fortis...so I left a message with Fortis. This was a probable lie because...
4) I complained to Fortis and they said they just received the report YESTERDAY....coincidence....I doubt it. Fortis said this company sends reports by batches which is likely what added at least 2 weeks delay.

I don’t think you have any option with Fortis site visits but be aware if above and if you do have a choice. Just say no.

Ecolighten completed a review of my furnace as a part of Fortis's rebate program and I have to say I was really impressed with the information they provided me about my new furnace. I learned things I would have never known had I not had this evaluation done.
