Didn’t Stand Behind Her Work

I hired her for my house closing, and it was a complete disappointment. Because of her negligence, I ended up reimbursing the previous owner for property taxes — only to later find out those taxes had never been paid to the city. I was forced to pay them again myself, which cost me over $1,000. This is something any competent lawyer should have verified during closing.

On top of that, the house was listed as having an owned water heater, yet shortly after moving in, I started receiving rental bills. When I reached out to her and asked for help resolving it, she simply told me there was nothing she could do — showing zero interest in standing behind her work or helping fix an issue that should’ve been caught in the first place.

I had to sort the water heater situation out on my own with the rental company, providing proof that the unit was supposed to be owned.

If you want a lawyer who doesn’t check the details, leaves you on your own when problems come up, and won’t lift a finger to help after closing, this is who you hire. Otherwise, save yourself the trouble and find someone who actually takes responsibility for their work.
