I’ve used this firm for a few years now for both my Canadian tax return (CRA) and Brazilian IRPF. While they’ve often helped me access the tax benefits I’m entitled to, I’ve had repeated problems with their communication, timing, and follow-through that have cost me extra money and caused significant stress.

CRA regularly asks for clarification or additional documents on my file — which might be expected once, but it’s happened multiple years in a row. Each time, the firm charges an extra fee to send a letter to CRA, despite already having all of my supporting documents.

This year, I was also fined R$500 for my Brazilian IRPF because they delayed submitting my return until after the deadline. I had sent them everything back in March and approved the first draft. They waited until May 29 to send a revised version, without making clear it was urgent or a new draft. I only saw and approved it on June 3, and they filed late — blaming me, even though they had over two months to spot this issue.

I appreciate the years of service and some of the outcomes, but the lack of proactive communication, accountability, and attention to deadlines are serious concerns. I hope they improve in the future — but for now, I’m considering switching to a firm that provides more reliable and transparent support.

I had a disappointing experience with this tax company for my 2024 tax filing. I paid over $100 for their assistance, only to receive an incorrect decalation that initally showed I owed around $1,000. When I reached out, they acknowledged their mistake and corrected it, which I appreciated. However, when I later requested additional information for my 2023 taxes, my emails went unanswered, and I was simply ignored. Given this, I am now paying another company to review the 2023-2024 tax declarations they submitted for me, to ensure everything is correct. This lack of responsiveness and attention to details has completely eroded my trust, and I will not be using their services again.
