CreateTO has proposed using Buttonwood Park for a community centre which involves taking away AND PAVING OVER 3 acres of GREEN SPACE. They also required the Toronto City Councillors Executive Committee to sign an NDA for CreateTO which didn't allow for community engagement. I would never support an organization that 1. Promotes paving over green space 2. Requires an NDA when helping an organization find space when the space in question involves a community they want to keep in the dark about the entire development until the 11th hour.

Per their website
"CreateTO is committed to ensuring all Housing Now, ModernTO and any future CreateTO-initiated projects meet or exceed the Toronto Green Standard, which sets out the key sustainable performance measures new developments are required to meet to address climate adaption, mitigation and resilience." .....Does this include eliminating THREE ACRES of green space that is located neighbouring a new school about to be built, the retirement residents where seniors enjoy fresh air? and not to mention the residents where 1300 units are about to be built across the city?

Pathetic. Please go find a vacant existing space as there's plenty across the city post COVID.
