Unless you are in dire need of a home. Steer far and wide from this money grabbing un-maintained crap hole.
I have lived at 75 Old Chicopee Drive in Kitchener Ontario for 1 year as of March 15 2025 and the issues have been endless. They will take advantage of you at every corner they can. Black mold, leaks, unmaintained appliances and then when they do show up they do so with 0 knowledge and unannounced with more broken appliances or absolutely anything that will "duct tape" the job to make it seem fine for a few days.
Since the second I moved into this place I've been mentally unhinged due to feeling of being so taken advantage of. You'll be embarrassed to have visitors if they can even walk down the sloping and crumbling walkways and passed the mountains of garbage because the bins or always overflowing. You can hear neighbors beside you and above or under you.
I had to have my bathroom ceiling replaced which took upwards of 6 months. Once they removed the ceiling the insulation was charcoal black with mold and they just slapped another piece of drywall over it. When the worker left there was drywall mud everywhere on my toilet all over my towel racks, on my tub etc.
I had water leaking through my walls from the unit above us and they came and put mud over the cracks in the drywall, didn't even bother to sand it just slapped some on and said have a good day.
Everything that's has caulking on it is all coming off all over the bathroom and kitchen, leading me to believe they didn't even use a proper product.
Cockroaches have been found, only 2 and we were sprayed upon finding them. Disgusting nonetheless. But again had dismantle basically my entire home for this to be taken care of.
My basement has flooded multiple times with sewage water, yes feces included causing damage to my items as well as damage to the renovated walls, baseboard and doors to which they came and literally used a brush to wipe one super thin coat of white paint over.
$500.00 per month in hydro during the winter months for electric baseboard heaters and you'll still have to wear a jacket in your home all winter.
Basement smells like rotting wood and cat urine, no idea why been trying to figure that out since moving here. All my ducts were blocked upon moving in.... The list is just endless
To top it off, your dishwasher, toilet (repaired 14 times in less than 1 year, no exaggeration) shower head and faucets will have to constantly be maintained due to hard very hard water.
When I viewed the unit I understood I was in a tough spot and they made it look like this place was newly renovated and tip top, and honestly I trusted them. Absolutely everything started falling apart basically the day I moved in.
$3000.00 a month for this. If you're going to take advantage of a housing crisis, at least have some sympathy for the people that are in this tough position and maintain their unit. I take care of my things, very well I might add. I didn't cause these issues, a lack of respect and disregard for people caused these issues.
