Since I purchased my Town House 4 years ago, I have had involvement with the Strata Council for our units. Carla Malmberg at Associa Strata Management has been our Community Manager during that time and has proven to be very responsive and detailed in her work. She has provided the required services and quotes as we need them and has given invaluable guidance in navigating any challenges we have faced as a Strata council. She has saved us hours of work and I am sure thousands of dollars wiht her guidance. I would absolutely recommend Associa and Carla Malmberg as a Strata Management Company.

Carla Malmberg of Associa has been nothing but exceptional in servicing our strata. Not only does she respond to our request and needs promptly, she goes the extra mile to ensure that all is met as expected. She always makes time for us and I would have no problem recommending her to anyone. Carla is also very knowledgeable of which we have depended on on several occasions. The strata managers at Assoica seem to be dropping like flies. Long term employee retention problems possibly? Communication is poor, and responses take far to long for simple requests. An example of this, each email response take around 3-5 business days, and now it has been 3 weeks of trying to ask a simple question. Only to get asked what strata plan and unit I am for the third time in a row....terrible. What makes it even juicier is the strata plan and unit # is in the subject line and previous 4 email's contents...tsk tsk tsk

Associa has been a huge improvement over our previous property management company. They’ve stepped into a very difficult situation—cleaning up the mess left behind by our former manager—and already we’re seeing real progress.

Our current Strata Manager, Kim Wall, has been outstanding. She’s responsive, professional, and genuinely seems to care about our community. After such a frustrating experience before, it’s a huge relief to work with someone we trust to follow through and act in our best interest.

I’m also familiar with David Kent, who manages a separate property I’m involved with (where I’m not on council), and he has been just as professional and reliable in all my interactions with him.

Associa is restoring our confidence in what good strata management should look like. Highly recommend.

Associa has been our Strata Council’s strata management service provider for decades. I like their full service offering (including rental property management services) and educational webinars. Keep up the great work, Laszlo!

They say they are all about " community" but I have yet to see any of their community strategies or plans. They always have last minute plans and notices that don't give residents time to organize life around when management springs repairs with less than 7 days notice. The strata meetings are always canceled or changed and cost near $1000 because they have to be late in the evening. They aren't helping organize a community atmosphere in our common areas or throughout out the 3 towers. The management company is basically a high end accountant because the actual VOLUNTEER STRATA COUNCIL has to do all the planning and researching of mechanical businesses otherwise Associa hires and pays all these different mechanical company's with the building's/ people's money without even checking the work that's been done!!. We have to continuously check the workmanship of every job because Associa just pays them. Associa doesn't listen at the meetings to actually hear what this building style or personality is. The Strata Council (which is Volunteer) has to work fulltime near 7 days aweek to get proper quotes with descriptions and proper quality control around the biulding. Here's 1 example the jacuzzi has been down drained and in parts for near 2 years. The poor strata council has to have 5 members to keep Associa on track or Associa doesn't listen nor looks into the fine print of jobs.
