Awesome place. All the staff were super friendly and accommodating. I can see why some previous reviews mentioned the rooms being hot. I feel like part of it has to do with how warm the blankets are too. But we kept the window open and the fans on and it was manageable (they provide fans for air flow). This may be the only reason I would rate the rooms 4 stars rather than 5.

We had the room with the kitchenette and it came fully stocked with all necessary cutlery, utensils, pots, pans, even a tray we used for roasting! Due to its location being in close proximity to the nearby grocery stores, we could easily pick up any food items we needed. The place felt safe and we never had worries about our personal belongings going missing. They have laundry conveniently located in the hotel for a reasonable price. I would 100% stay here again if I’m ever in the area.

So the only reason this place got one star from me was because the staff was very friendly and the towels were the best I’ve had at a hotel, otherwise I would not recommend this place. The bed was like sleeping on a hunk of plywood and if the floor had been carpeted, which it wasn’t (covered in the old school asbestos tiles), I’d have tried to sleep there!! For $190 CAD a night you’d think they could put some decent mattresses in. Also the room had no heat control and it must’ve been 75 degrees in there. I can’t imagine what the second floor was like. If you have to stay in Watson Lake, YT don’t go here.

The beds were comfy and the room was pretty! It would be nice to stay in during the winter, it was incredibly hot but the fan and ceiling fan helped a bit. The service was nice, they immediately gave us more towels when they seen how many of us there were. Stayed here twice during a road trip!

IGNORE THE BAD REVIEWS. Seriously though. Yes, they don't have AC, no one up here does. The room may not be "aesthetically" pleasing, but the bed was comfy, they provided blankets for our dogs, it was spacious, and right next to the restaurant. Wendy at the front was super friendly and helpful and anyone who thinks she's rude probably doesn't have manners. So seriously, great place, especially if you have pets, they're wonderful.

Upon entering the hotel lobby, I was hit with the smell of cannabis (I find the smell offensive). As others mentioned, the beds are extremely uncomfortable. The rooms were generously sized, but the walls were paper thin… the upgrade to our stay was the screaming child in the middle of the night and people operating the laundry machines right next to our room… needless to say we didn’t sleep well and won’t return.
