Used this place for 5 years with no issues. Then suddenly our bags started to get warnings. We logged in to see what was wrong and had the message "broken glass/something else". We thought it was one off and just got more careful with what we put it (Mind you when we drop off the bags - all bottles are intact).
Anyways, over the next month, we had another 2 warnings with the third saying our account is put on hold. We called to ask the reason. They said that we can't put more than 12 glass bottles in one bag......ummmm what? This rule is nowhere on the site. Considering we didn't have any issues for 5 years before, seems like they just came up with this randomly. Maybe they want people to come in and do the manual count vs dropping off bags. Anyway, we stopped coming here and drive a little further - have had no issues. Something wonky is happening at this location.

The owner of this location, or their employees are so rude. They will try closing early, closing doors on customers. Even if you are express
They will miscount your bottles, or make false claims theres liquids in them. I literally have videos to prove all of this. I am a non-profit, with multiple people helping me fundraise, for ATIRA, woman and children fleeing domestic violence, mental health , and addiction. Therefore, we know how many bags we bring, how many containers, and all liquids are poured in a sewer drain, we were notified we can use by the city. They also have no idea how to run a bottle drive, ask any of them there, none will help you. They will not help you actually with anything. I strongly suggest going to the coquitlam location on lougheed hwy. WAY BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE! The owner even helped us carry bags of bottles from our vehicle, to the depo. He was very knowledgeable, and happy to help us. I will never go back to port coquitlam return it on kingsway. Ive been a port coquitlam resident for 32 years (my whole life) , this depo was biggar bottle depo before, and I wish it still was cause the customer service was absolutely horrible here. Go to the one on lougheed hwy, especially if you are running a fundraiser, do not waste your time at the port coquitlam, kingsway/westwood street location. Also, we had zero issues at the coquitlam location, only several marked issues at kingsway location. The owner, does not deserve a business under return it, if thats how they treat customers. It gives return it a bad name. Thankful for the coquitlam location though!

This place is terrible. Way, to small and not enough parking, not to mention that I think some of the employees are a bit crooked. I've been using the drop of service lately, and the past two times I've dropped off my bag I never got my money deposited into my return-it account. Not to mention that when the money does get deposited it's considerably less cash than when I drop it off at the Coquitlam return-it depot, by almost $10 which is considerable when you think about it. I'm not using this place anymore, the Coquitlam depot across from IKEA is way better, and at least they're honest.

I go to this Bottle Depot, quite often some of the staff are not very friendly put the Staff That are quite friendly. I enjoy seeing them every time I go rather than that I wouldn’t give this depot a five star.

Why some of my bottles only worth 5 cents? I was using return it express. The system counts 120 bottles but only for $10?
I never have this problem with return it Coquitlam.

Love the new drop off service returns in a bag put the sticker on and your done no counting no sorting it is all done for you. Then within a couple days it's in your account. Awesome no line ups no waiting just scan your bags and your done, Very busy location, Great recycle almost everything here. Staff mostly are friendly and helpful. Great fund raising opportunities here as well register your team and do as little as have parents drop bags for the team or have a full blown bottle drive they supply bags and even do pick up. Awesome

The staff here are always very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, today they were too helpful. I am perfectly capable of using a touch screen and a hand held scanner, yet multiple staff members “helped” me multiple times and ended up taking bags of cans and bottles off my trolly that weren’t ready to be dropped off yet. I’m pretty sure I lost two bags of returns today because of their eagerness to “help” me.

And of course I spoke up. I said “I haven’t scanned those yet” and “those don’t have barcode stickers yet” but I think they still took bags that weren’t ready and now obviously I won’t get money back for them.

I know their sign says not to pre print the barcode stickers but next time I will print them and stick them on the bags before taking them to the depot.
