I love, love, LOVE my new kitchen cabinets! Gerald and his team were fabulous to work with. My cabinets were done per the schedule promised, the product is beautiful, and the installer was amazing too. I loved the product so much that I called and requested additional cabinets for my kitchen. The pricing is fair and I had such a great experience that I'm already making plans for additional cabinetry throughout my home. Any time I had questions there was always someone to speak with and I always received answers. Visit their showroom, meet the staff, and hire Gerald and his team for your cabinets! You will not be disappointed! I can't say enough about how great Bigstone has been to work with. I can't wait to work them again for the rest of my house!

Horrible experience! Not only am I unhappy with the service but their pricing was significantly higher than other quotes. We decided to use Bigstone on our custom home because we believed we would receive premium product and service. We were wrong.

The initial design consultation went well, but as soon as Bigstone received a large deposit, the service started to diminish. The designer made many errors and items that were discussed were not executed.

The major issues we had was with the paint and color of our cabinets. Most of the kitchen cabinets were mis-matched colors, the oak stain was uneven and even the touch up paint is the wrong color! Bigstone refused to take accountability but luckily we had held back money which forced them to come back to service majority of the errors. There are still several deficiencies that they refuse to come fix and now we've had to get another cabinetry company to fix Bigstones errors.

Shame on you Bigstone for charging a premium and not completing the job you were contracted to do!

We hired Bigstone for a large project on our home renovation, which included a complete custom kitchen, fireplace built-in shelving/ cabinets, and 2 bathroom vanities. The good service ended after they took our deposit. There were too many problems to list; however, here are the worst offences:
1. They built the wrong cabinet door style, despite numerous reminders (2 texts + 1 email before the kitchen arrived). We were in their shop, finalizing our order, and I physically pointed to the door style I wanted. Gerald (owner) wrote it down on a piece of paper. The design proofs had a door style number, which is meaningless to someone who doesn't work there, so their argument was that we signed off on the style; however, we didn't actually know what that number meant. There was a specific reason why we chose the style we did, so a compromise to the other style was not an acceptable solution. Ultimately, we had to pay an extra $1000 for them to rebuild the doors to the style we had ordered, pick up at their shop, and install them ourselves! To add insult to injury, they only rebuilt the cabinets in the kitchen/ living room/ one vanity and didn't bother with the other bathroom vanity, so now we are stuck either paying for those doors to be rebuilt, or leaving mismatched doors.
2. Even some of the rebuilt doors were wrong. We're so done with dealing with Bigstone that we have decided to have the doors fixed elsewhere.
3. There was mistake after mistake... We had ordered all of our appliances prior to finalizing our cabinet order, so we were able to send all of the specifications to Bigstone before work began. They still built our range hood too small and, ultimately, we had to change the design because the venting didn't line up and they had to rebuild it and another of the cabinet boxes to fit the fan.
4. This change also necessitated a change to the electrical for our under-cabinet lights, so we had to pay an electrician to come back to our home and complete this change, which was an extra cost to us.
5. They delivered our first bathroom vanity on time. Absolutely everything else was late.
6. There was no care given to dust control. We understand that cabinet installation will create dust; however, the installer cut in our attached garage with the door to our house open, making the dust problem far worse than it could have been.

We have been very forward with our communication to Bigstone, so I don't expect that this review will be any surprise to them. Even, what we considered to be very good communication was not enough to thwart all of these issues + many more.

Overall, the cabinets are nice and well-built. The service was bad enough that we will never do business with Bigstone again, and we'll make sure to tell everyone that will listen to steer clear.

I am very sad to have to write this review. We are doing a kitchen reno and have contacted several different cabinet place but thought we should also give the local cabinet builder an opportunity, It started off on a positive note. Sam came out to our home to see our vision and with in a week came up with plans. We met her next at the showroom and discussed what we would like in more detail. Unfortunately that is the last we have heard from her in 3 weeks. We did get a call from the front administrative staff from Sam saying she would get back to us within a week. But nothing. Shame would have loved to shop local.

Since posting this review Monica has reached out to us. She has gone above and beyond to try and make our experience so much better. She has gathered together a pile of information for us to review and consider. A quote has been completed and now the ball is in our court. Thank you for changing our experience positive. I ordered storage cabinets/pantries for my basement. Monica was very patient and responsive through a few iterations of design. And the cabinets turned out fantastic. They look and function great. The installer was wonderful and left the room very clean afterwards. I highly recommend this company!

As a renovation contractor, we've used Bigstone Custom Cabinets for our cabinetry on our last half dozen projects and their work is both beautiful and accurate. In addition, their design team is easy to work with and minor problems are dealt with quickly and easily.

I have not personally used Big Stone, but speaking with the owner I can't help but know this is a great cabinet maker and company. One day we will be doing our kitchen and when we do.... you can bet We will be calling them. Products look amazing.
