We arrived a bit early to check in. Debbie very graciously hurried things along for us. Our room was very clean and quiet. The included breakfast was much better than the usual continental style- it included ham, eggs, and potatoes along with the normal fare. Debbie also took care of the food service in a friendly and professional manner. We were extremely satisfied with the experience and will definitely stay with Canalta again.

We’ve stayed here now a few time and always been treated excellent by all the staff, rooms are clean, quiet and the continental breakfast is always great.
It’s pet friendly so for us that’s amazing.
We have used the room with 3 beds so that’s a plus for hotel stays.
The pool/ hot tub hasn’t been in service for quite a while, but not a biggie.
I’ll always recommend and thanks for the service from the staff!

I had the pleasure of staying at the Canalta Shaunavon during my recent work visit, and I was thoroughly impressed! The hotel's modern amenities and comfortable rooms made for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure my needs were met.

The hotel's location is also convenient, within walking distance to Main Street and its charming shops and restaurants.

Overall, I highly recommend the Canalta Shaunavon for its excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and great value. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit!

We stayed at the hotel because they had a hot tub and a steam room advertised.
When we arrived we where made aware that the hot tub and steam room out of service.
Later in town we got told that the hot tub and steam room is barly ever working.
So we feelt like the hotel is doing false advertisement with amenities which are not actually work or in service. We paid top dollars to stay at this place especially for the amenities, and there was not even as much as a "we are very sorry" or a adjustment in price for the inconvenience. Save yourself the high room rate if you look for a relaxing stay there is no real service there

The room was ok although not nearly stocked well enough. The service was less than impressive, especially Debbie at the front desk. The Whirlpool was broken down the first day, on the second day it had a layer of dirt on the bottom. We went there for vacation to celebrate a friend's birthday and our party was treated so poorly and consistently being harassed by Debbie knocking on our door to accuse our party of smoking weed in the room and talking to loud and honestly I belive the staff at the hotel are racist and homophobic as we were multicultural and LGBTQ2+ guests. We left after the first night due to harassment from Debbie at the front desk.
Luckily we found a room at the Stardust motel and I couldn't have been happier with my stay at the motel! I will never stay at ANY canalta location again or recommend this place to anyone as they have uneducated and clearly untrained management and staff.

We were in the area for a funeral and this was a great place. Pet friendly, comfy beds, great service, good breakfast. We will definitely stay again when down there.

At check-in we learned that the hot tub was broken, which was disappointing since it is a listed amenity. Next, approximately 40 minutes later, attendant Debbie knocked on our door to say we needed to keep it down. We were literally eating at the time and having a conversation. The was no yelling OR music and it was daytime. This was the moment we learned this hotel caters exclusively to oil workers, many of whom sleep during the day. When this is the case, marketing materials ought to reflect it. Expecting silence from guests that are not oil workers is unrealistic and makes for a very unpleasant stay. Debbie went on to harass us 3 more times within a 24-hour period. She insinuated we were smoking in the room, which was untrue. The final time she came to our room, I stood directly in front of her, to have a discussion. Despite this, she absolutely refused to even look at me. I moved my head to make eye contact and she reliably dodged it, treating me as if I did not exist. I was the paying guest, so it made most sense to speak to me, but I was also by far the guest with the darkest complexion (African American). It was clear she had no respect for me and she swore while walking away from me, ending this encounter. She denied it, but the word used is harsh sounding and easily heard. I booked through Expedia and paid full price for two nights but stayed for one. If you are NOT an oil worker, 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.
