Unforgettable First Drift Boat Fishing Experience with Chromer Sport Fishing!

I recently had my very first guided drift boat sport fishing trip with Chromer Sport Fishing, and it was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish! Being my first time in beautiful British Columbia, Vancouver, I wasn’t sure what to expect—but thanks to the amazing team and especially our guide, Tommy Thomson, it turned out to be an unforgettable adventure.

Tommy’s expertise, patience, and enthusiasm made all the difference. He guided us down the stunning Squamish River, sharing his deep knowledge of the area and techniques every step of the way. With his help, I was able to catch both bull trout and rainbow trout—something I never imagined I’d do on my first outing!

Beyond just fishing, Tommy made the entire experience enjoyable and relaxing. His easygoing personality and genuine passion for what he does created the perfect atmosphere for learning and fun.

I went out with a group of friends having never been fly fishing before. We spent the day rafting to different spots on the Squamish River. Amazing Experience with Chromer Sport Fishing!

I booked a guided raft fishing trip with Chromer Sport Fishing as a surprise birthday gift for my boyfriend, and it was incredible from start to finish! Although we had to cancel on the day due to bad weather, Yos was super accommodating and quickly rescheduled us for a later date with much better conditions—so worth the wait.

Before the trip, our guide Jon reached out to walk me through all the preparation steps, ensuring we were fully ready for the experience. My boyfriend had minimal fly fishing experience, and I had none at all, but Jon was an exceptional teacher! He patiently taught us how to cast, and explained the behaviour of fish and their favourite environment to rest.

Drifting down the Squamish River on the raft was magical—the scenery was absolutely stunning, and the experience was both relaxing and exciting. We learned so much, had so much fun, and truly had the best day.

We can't wait to come back for another trip! I absolutely recommend Chromer Sport Fishing to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable outdoor adventure.
