Paying off loans is a big deal and a great feeling. I provided the teller Lynn with the account number , name and payout figure as of Jan 25. I also provided the per diem amount as I didn’t want a few cents outstanding on the account. I simply asked to ensure the per diem was calculated correctly so I knew for sure the loan account could be closed and paid in full. “I can’t release that info as it’s not in your name ( it was my husbands).” I didn’t ask for any private info simply to ensure the account would be closed in full with the appropriate amount I provided. With 4 bankers deliberating and calculating the amount, getting a managers “approval”and 20 minutes later, reluctantly she provided a generic receipt with “paid “ and the account number with no reference to the amount I paid. Said they “made an exception to the rule”. Like I was lucky or something. I asked for an actual receipt with the amount paid. Finally got what I needed; not without the sucking of her teeth and power tripping on how she couldn’t provide the info for privacy reasons. Got what I needed in the end but not without trying to make me feel like what I was asking was unreasonable. Not helpful and definitely not friendly. Customer service skills definitely lacking. Perhaps some extra customer service/ communication skills training is in order.

Been trying to reach the bank for the last few hours, don’t return calls, no one answers the phone, called the 1800 number and buddy gave the number for a Toronto location…. Unreal.

I just switch my bank account to CIBC. I would say the service of their staff is extremely fantastic. Stephanie Lynch is one of the best employee of this branch and how they manage to assist you even beyond the limit. I would really appreciate that. Definitely recommend my friends to switch their account to CIBC.

If it wasn't for Nancy I would have been banking somewhere else. Nancy's professional and customer oriented demeanor is what makes me feel comfortable banking with CIBC. I would consider her a huge asset to this company. I have had absolutely no issues with this branch and have put all of my faith in her and now CIBC. She has strongly suggested meeting and talking about future financial endeavors in investing and saving and can't wait until that happens.

5 stars is an understatement. You guys rock CIBC Sackville. Well run business with fantastic management and employees. Will STRONGLY recommend.

The worse experience on Monday Feb 3. Kelli was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I have never felt like I was putting someone out for asking a question, and her answers were so rude and short. She all but told me to do my banking at the machine, too bad I couldn't get a money order there.....

I had a fantastic experience with both Mitchell and Joel at the sackville branch. They both went above and beyond and displayed impeccable customer service .They were extremely thorough and even stayed a few minutes past closing time to continue helping me . I haven't experienced customer service this fantastic anywhere in a long time so thank you guys both!

As of the beginning of this year this bank won't make change unless you have a bank account with them. Even though I have a Simplii account that is accessed through them. Now I have to scrounge loonies wherever I can. I really can't believe this. Banks that won't make change. Smh
