Engaged Connie's Financial to complete a T3 trust return. Connie made an error in the end date (instead of setting the return from 1/1/2023 through 12/31/2023, she chose a partial year for some unknown reason). This resulted in late charges and penalties being assessed by Revenue Canada.

When contacted about the issue, she initially requested the prior years return, and then stopped responding to multiple emails. Instead of dealing with the error in a professional manner, she chose to stop responding to the issue.

Additionally, when reaching out to the Chartered Professional Accountants of Nova Scotia, I found out she's not a member and is not listed in their directory.

I would suggest that unless you have a very basic return (in which case, you can get software that will perform your return, I would look elsewhere. Completely unprofessional services provided.
