Syed helped me tremendously. I was pressed for time and arrived to the office only an hour before they were about to close. Thankfully Syed graciously and swiftly processed my documents, and even accepted a misplaced picture. Definitely recommend - the staff are reliable and get the job done right.

Except for a few senior competent people working here, most of the staff is useless and need basic training in how to interact with people. By basic training I mean simple etiquette.

When you walk in, you are required to collect a ticket and then patiently wait for your turn to be called to the window. This is where it all goes south. I had the displeasure of being assisted by the same employee on both my visits. The said employee never responds to your customary ‘salam’ greeting and asks you in a rude tone what you are there for. He responds to you in English despite you being polite and talking to them in Urdu. As soon as you start responding in English, this employee starts responding in Urdu. Not sure what his issue is, but it is comical to experience this in person. Someone suggested that this employee must be suffering from inferiority complex. Look out for this employee and refuse service from him and ask for another associate to save yourself the headache. The employee wears glasses and has gelled up messy spiky hair (he’s too old for this type of hairstyle in my opinion). He’s mostly at the window assisting people coming in.

Luckily we found some competent people working here that were able to help us with what we needed. I must say that overall, not a good representation of Pakistan by a few bad apples. Your best bet would be to conduct your business online so you can save yourself the hassle of visiting in person and getting mistreated by bad employees working here.

I have to say I’m very impressed with this particular consulate. They have always picked up my phone calls whenever I’d call them from a different state and if they couldn’t pick up they would call me back to answer my questions without me even leaving a message. That’s how much they care about helping out. I ended up flying to LA to get some paperwork done and let me tell you. Their in person customer service is EXCEPTIONAL! There wasn’t a long wait at all. Patrons before me got their issues resolved and were very grateful to Syed Hamid Ali who helped them, as well as myself. He was very supportive, knowledgeable and efficient. I even got to meet with the Consul General himself and got to have a great conversation with him. We are truly very lucky to be served by this Consulate General. Would definitely advise you to try it out for yourself!

Extremely rude ignorant person. He can't even speak English he hung up on me and won't answer calls to help with my visa. They scam ppl and won't send visa extremely uneducated person needs to be fired from his job. he is getting paid to sleep in office and not pick call because he can't speak English. so sad!!!!
