Such an ill mannered staff. They don’t know how to deal with customers. They cancelled my auto insurance without any reason. When I ask them they said because you did an accident. We insured our car when we are in trouble. If you’re not helping us on that day, then why you take money every month for what? I’m not recommending this company for insurance.

I have worked with Sam and his team for the last couple of years. Their knowledge spans multiple disciplines and were able to help me right size my insurance needs so that I had the correct coverage I needed for my lenders requirements, and nothing so exhorbitant so that I am not paying unnecessary premiums.

Unfair Treatment and Lack of Loyalty: My Experience with The Co-operators Auto Insurance

I am deeply disappointed with the treatment I received from The Co-operators Auto Insurance. After being a loyal customer for a year, paying premiums on time for both my auto and home insurance policies, I was shocked to receive a letter informing me that they would not be renewing my auto insurance policy.

The reason provided for this abrupt decision? A single accident I had in November 2023. This decision felt incredibly unfair and arbitrary. While I understand the importance of maintaining a good driving record, it's unreasonable for The Co-operators to penalize me so harshly for one isolated incident, especially considering my long-standing relationship with them and the minimal nature of the claim.

What's particularly frustrating is that the accident in question involved an older vehicle, and the claim amount was minimal. Despite this, The Co-operators chose to prioritize their bottom line over customer loyalty and satisfaction. This lack of consideration for my individual circumstances is deeply disappointing and has left me feeling undervalued as a customer.

As someone who has always believed in the importance of loyalty and fair treatment, I expected better from The Co-operators. Their decision to cancel my policy based on one incident not only demonstrates a lack of compassion but also a disregard for the trust and loyalty I placed in them as my insurance provider.

Moving forward, I can no longer in good conscience continue to support a company that values profits over customer relationships. I urge others to think twice before entrusting their insurance needs to The Co-operators, as my experience serves as a stark reminder of their lack of empathy and loyalty towards their customers.

The absolute worst service I have ever had the displeasure of using. I was over charged on my home insurance for two years due to an agents error and then they refused to return what i had over paid. My auto policy was increased substantially when it was renewed despite having NO claims. They sent me my pink slips with my personal information and the wrong vehicle information (not even a vehicle i own) and then despite asking them multiple times to mail me correct slips they never did so. The people are rude, abrasive, and just want your money, they have no idea how to handle customer service. I recommend STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

This company is great to work with until you want to cancel. I have been with them for 10 years and then on my new policy it was going up so much I had to look elsewhere. Also I have no accidents or claims. I always did business through email and they completely ghosted me once I had to change to another company. I tried contacting my normal contact and Sam. Go through the call centre if needing to end business. It is unfortunate as I would have stayed if they could have offered a more competitive rate. This was poor customer service and has left a bad taste in my mouth with ever returning to them.

If you want to be sent in circles with a team of so called professionals, I suggest you don’t get insurance from these crooks. I pay a fairly high premium a month just to get story’s told to me about today we will have your vehicle inspected and we will have a price for your vehicle.

My vehicle has been in the Cooperaters hands for over a month now and they have still not giving me an answer.

If you don't want the same treatment as a child then I suggest you stay away from these crooks. Nothing but a headache and unprofessionalism.

This is the most incredible. Insurance company I have ever dealt with.

Helen has been such great help. With answering all my questions as well as setting up my policies and making sure I have the best rate possible. She went above and beyond she has great social skills, very polite and kind.

She was very thorough, she did not hesitate to take the time to explain everything in detail to make sure that I understood the policy and how my Insurance worked.

I would highly recommend this insurance company to anyone who is looking for a true honest company. They don't try to manipulate you or take advantage of you and they don't overcharge you for their services. They price accordingly giving you the best possible option.
