I wouldn't recommend using David Burr Property management for finding any legitimate property rentals. They will rent out illegal suites and have repairs made by people who are not certified to do so. Signed contracts with repairs promised and either nothing was done or had shoddy repairs done by university students. Contacted them numerous times in regards to the issues and requesting money refunded. Nothing. Not even a response. Will never use this business again.

I was extremely lucky to find a rental property in this market. David Burt responded promptly to my emails and made the move from Edmonton to Victoria very easy. I would recommend them to anyone that is searching for a place.

Group showings, get as many people in the space as possible to increase your chances of receiving a deposit cheque - the first cheque with adequate references gets the suite. Not a respectful way to conduct showings on your future home. People need time alone to assess the space. Your future tenants dont deserve to be herded like cattle, rushed, instead of individual showings like other similar property management companies provide.

Incredible staff always only a phone call away with a solution to every problem! Super helpful people. Love the 1488 building , our dog also loved it . Great area, nice parks nearby. Definitely recommend them if you are looking for a place in downtown Vic !

Agent that helps landlords maintain the minimal amount (no working heat for several years..). Never emails back.. And if looking for help as a slumlord, maybe look further. They didnt fill out forms properly.
