The Bylaw officer informs me that you can put your garbage out on anybodys boulevard doesn't have to be your own .Iam currently gathering up enough for a good pile to put on the district of Sookes boulevard..We will see how that pans out. Also has rules that apply to some but not all .It turns out that you can not park your vehicle on the street for more than three days if not being driven. But if your neighbour parks his van on the street for weeks on end without it being driven it's totally OK. He also assures you he will get back to you and never does.Who hired this clown.And does he know who pays his salary...

Had a poor experience with the building department a few months back. Called multiple times to ask for some clarification, never received a call back. Went into city hall to see if I could speak with someone and got attitude from the building department receptionist who I was nothing but polite too. The receptionist said I needed to call and make an appointment to see someone, which is difficult to do when they wont return phone calls...
As a tax payer I was unable to get any assistance and eventually decided I didn't want to go through the headache of building in the municipality. As a result I ended up selling the property and moved to another municipality in the GVA.

Who shuts down the main road in and out of Sooke from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on a Sunday for tree trimming? Poor planning on the city's part.
