I've lived at 3434 Eglinton Ave E since July 2008 and in my experience coupled with conversations with other tenants concerning the new ownership of Metcap Living, it is the general belief that the previous owner R.A.B Properties handled it's tenants with more fairness. For example, R.A.B renovated three times (including the laundry room and underground parking) since I've lived there and my rent did not see more than the standard increase. Metcap renovated once - and rent increased $27/mnth in 2023 now to $31/mnth coming Jan 24 ( and they used cheap paint, and basic plywood for baseboards. With this company if you don't complain 3 or more times nothing gets done( lve had no renovations to my apartment to warrant such an increase) Especially if your not paying for one of the overpriced units. Another example R.A.B was better is that the owner froze and eventually reduce a ladies rent when she fell on hard times. Additionally, metcap has had toooo many tenant court cases to be trust worthy. We use to have a security guard, not anymore. Visitor's parking has gone belly up. Tenants can't even afford the parking anymore so alot of people are being ticketed for parking anywhere they can. An entry key went from $25 to $75. These egregious charges and increases must be put to a stop. Most tenants whose lease came with a storage unit are being refused one unless they threaten metcap. Shouldn't that cost be deducted from the rent.

Life isn't perfect but you can do better than this MetCap. I was here first, living just fine before you came along. Many tenants you've wronged are afraid to speak up so they tell their neighbors and their neighbors tell a friend at work.

They are trying to fix some things,However,they have in the pass outright refused to fix important fixtures in ny apartment.ect.Bathroom cupboard doors falling off literally and facet in kitchen kept moving abd is not seated to sink because if rust under sink that eats away at fixtures,you do not want to see the face basin.The ground are full of rotten fallen leave coupled with the newer leaves.
