Wow! What can I say? Thanks to Robbie Steubing the most honest and friendliest salesman in the entire realm! I needed a new van for my growing family and have been searching online for a long time. I just got home from the dealership. My Jeep was in for service (clock spring recall). Admittedly at first I was unhappy with the service here. I called in to order parts and book in for service. 2 weeks later I called in to see where we were at. They had no record of the part even bieng ordered. We all make mistakes. It's how they are rectified that counts. I talked to Jeff he got my part ordered and lined me in for service, kept me updated the whole time. They also provided me with a car to use for the day while my Jeep was bieng serviced. The kicker....they even washed and cleaned my Jeep. I got quoted on new roof seals and I will be going back to get this done all thanks to the service provided and going the extra mile. They even ducked me (Jeep owners will get it). Thanks Jeff!

This is not a service department you can trust.

Short version

Gary Moe Lacombe service department made several mistakes that could’ve ruined my driving holiday and certainly would’ve resulted in a serious lack of safety. Devon in the service department is a terrible communicator who makes promises but doesn’t deliver. Gary Moe Lacombe wanted to replace working parts because of a non existent oil leak. I don’t trust them. You shouldn’t either.

Longer Version

I’ve just had a very disappointing experience with the service department at Gary Moe Lacombe. I took in my 2013 Ram for some brake pads. The service department found several things wrong with my old truck. Most significantly they said the left side shock absorber had a “huge oil leak” (I’m quoting from their own service estimate) that needed replacing and they said the engine oil cooler had to be replaced after they found a “huge oil leak from rear of engine”.

I said ok let’s do that work right now because I’ve got a road trip coming up in 3 weeks.

Devon from Gary Moe Lacombe service department said “No problem, I’ll call you when the parts are in.”

A week passed. Nothing.

I call Devon. He says “No problem, I’ll call you when the parts are in.”

Another week passes. Nothing.

Finally with just four days until my road trip I phone Devon again. He’s too busy to take my call but the receptionist takes a message and promises Devon will get back to me. I explain to the receptionist that I need to know what’s happening or I’ll have to cancel my road trip.

Devon didn’t respond. Feeling a bit of panic I take my truck to a local automotive shop for a second opinion. They find that the “strut assembly” and ball joints need replacing and that there is no massive oil leak at the rear of the engine and that the engine oil cooler does not need to be replaced. So I had them fix my truck and off to Vancouver I went.

In summary, Gary Moe service department found a shock absorber that needed replacing but missed the worn out struts and ball joints. That could’ve been disastrous for me as I drove through the mountains. Gary Moe Lacombe claimed they found a huge oil leak and that the engine oil cooler needed replacing but another shop could find no oil leak and said the engine oil cooler was fine. A successful trip to Vancouver and back proves that the engine oil cooler was working fine.

My complaint has three parts. First Devon repeatedly assured me there would be “no problem” getting my truck fixed in time for my road trip. He did not deliver on that promise and he did not communicate with me about the delay he was having. Second, they missed very serious problems with my struts and ball joints that might’ve been disastrous for me and my family. Finally they found a “huge oil leak” and a malfunctioning engine oil cooler that no one else could find. Devon at Gary Moe Lacombe would’ve replaced my engine oil cooler at huge expense when that didn’t need to be done at all!

Can you rely on Gary Moe Lacombe service department to communicate with you? Can you rely on them to take care of your safety? Can you trust that the work they say needs doing is real? Based on my experience the answer to each question is definitely no. In short you can’t trust Gary Moe.

And when Devon says “No problem, we’ll take care of you”, that means there is a problem and they sure didn’t take care of me.

I recently brought my Jeep Gladiator to the dealership due to a ticking sound coming from the engine. Although the circumstances were less than ideal, the team at the dealership swiftly addressed the issue and returned my Jeep much sooner than I anticipated. To my pleasant surprise, when I got my Jeep back, not only was the issue resolved, but they had also taken the time to clean it for me—a thoughtful touch that didn’t go unnoticed.

Moreover, the dealership provided a quick shuttle service back and forth for my vehicle, which significantly eased the logistical headache of arranging alternative transportation. This level of customer service and efficiency is truly commendable.

I sincerely appreciate the effort and care the team demonstrated throughout this process. Their professionalism and quick turnaround time have earned my trust. I will definitely be returning for any future needs. Highly recommend this dealership for anyone in need of service for their Jeep.

I bought my truck year ago from them.
It’s need in the shop 13 times. No heat then the alternator 2 Alternator. Now the front end gone. Never did fix the heat in the truck. And Alternator only lasted week. Charged me for it all. End stop going there to get the truck work on.
Then called Jan 31 2025 to trade the truck back in sale man would not let me talk to the finance man and was very rude on the phone to the point I hung up on him.
There ones to bring the truck back in a year an they get into better truck not lies.
