Horrible experience with this management company. When we moved in in July 2024, we were told the apartment would be cleaned prior. It was not, there was cat litter in a bedroom, the fridge had mustard hardened inside it, spills all over the floor, feces marks in the toilets, clumps of hair in the washer and dryer, the oven drawer was jammed, the closet door was completely off. I emailed them and they had maintenance come by without warning. They stated there was a cleaning company who had come by. Clearly no one checked it.
Then, there was a notice sent out about unit fire alarm testing. As a night shift RN in the ICU, I emailed them the week before stating I was between night shifts this day and asked for them to provide a specific time so that I would be awake. They never answered. The day off I awoke to an email threatening to charge me for not answering the door. The time frame for alarms was 9-5 and I had left another email and note on the door stating I would be awake at 3pm and to come by then. Sheila was extremely rude and belittling on the phone. The lady with the fire department employee stated that they would have came in the morning had I contacted them about my night shifts. Clearly Sheila doesn’t understand the importance of responding to emails.
There is a company that plows and salts the parking lot but does a horrible job at it, I slipped 3 times while pregnant but thankfully never fell.
Hot water didn’t work for a week, communication regarding that was confusing. They said they were “waiting on a trades person” … call a different company then considering this is a while apartment of tenants without hot water in the winter?
Next! We received an eviction notice, and we booked the elevator for 2 days before the termination date. We moved out most of our belongings that day. As I was 7.5 months pregnant this day, the last few items and cleaning would have to wait till another day as it was too much for me. Sheila decided to enter the unit a day before the termination date and send me a berating email about the unit not being cleaned yet and that they keys were not left behind. We still had another full day to clean and return the keys.
Now we are waiting for a partial refund of rent as the termination date was for March 21, and our last month rent went towards March. No one is answering us and we have not received the total. Would prefer not to file LTB forms so going to give them another day or two but this is insanely frustrating!!

Genedco is a terrible company that’s forcing my whole condo to pay $5000 to repair the building that we live in, even though they said they would do it and they never got to it for like 2 years and now they are saying they didn’t have any money? This company will lie to you and steal from you DO NOT TRUST THEM!

Gemnedco has provided excellent service for me. I recently left the world of home ownership, to enter into the rental market. Barb Gordon, at Genedco, has managed to find me an amazing place to live! Further, Barb gets things done! Anytime there is any kind of issue, it gets dealt with in a timely and competent manner. I could not be happier with the services provided by Genedco and their staff!

This company will illegally withhold refundable key deposits because of "dog smells" if you don't want units to smell like dogs make your rental properties not pet friendly! I did my due diligence and cleaned the apartment! Return my key deposit!

First of all, I do not write reviews, in posting this; I may receive a response. This is coming from two plus years of customer service experience.

I can not say one positive thing about this company, if I was able to not pay them for their services I would have stopped immediately.

Within weeks of purchasing my condo and setting up all the accounts associated with that, this company threatened to put a lien against me for not receiving my condo fee info, I had plenty of time before first payment to get the info to them. This was my first experience with them.
Almost every call for questions or issues went unreturned. Both front desk and phone services are very unfriendly and make you feel like an annoyance.
My main issue is, my unit (I assume others as well) smells of smoke from another unit and they have not done anything about it, or got back to me with any info. Not only that, but if you do have an issue they will expose you to the other party instead of them dealing, creating conflict amongst owners/tenants.

A really terrible company. Loosing staff every year and can't keep or get anyone to work for them (I wonder why lol). Too much to say about how much they don't care about their clients and how much they just can't do. Avoid at all costs if you are looking for a property manager, as they don't have the ability to "manage" anything with any degree of competence and professionalism

They are rude and try to make you feel like you are bothering them, and always use the "we're short on staff" excuse as their reason for not being able to do anything you ask, even if it's written in your contract.

Terrible. Live in a building they manage and very disappointed. Pay very high maintenance fees and definitely not getting our money's worth. Had a problem with gas fumes I had to rectify myself and have had constant plumbing hammer for a year. They said they would try and fix it but they would leave a hole in our bathroom ceiling. Just danced around the issue. I am sitting looking at grass that is 6 inches high. It is getting embarrassing to have friends over. We were also suppose to get an hvac service and all they did was hand me new filters. Brought this up at a meeting and got no response! Huge mistake buying here! They have board members and employees posting 5 star reviews. Despicable!
Couldn't park in my spot because ceiling was caving in and parked in visitors.
They threatened to tow my car! Classy! Now Genedco is threatening me with harrassment for telling the truth!
