I am part of my condo board (Pres.). We have been with Genesis for about a year now. They are attentive, accessible, and treat us like a partner, not just a number. We're a smaller building (40 units) so that goes a long way!

Horrible property management company, protect your sanity and contract any other company. They take too long to deal with service requests - we've been waiting for multiple minor issues to be addressed in our unit for over NINE MONTHS.

They provide tenants with misleading information - for example, an employee confirmed that it would be the builder who would be dealing with an in-suite issue, only then to turn around and say that it's NOT the builder and that we as tenants are left to coordinate this repair on our own.

Do not rent from a Genesis property unless you like having your time wasted, wish to be constantly frustrated and disappointed, and enjoy having your money taken with nothing to show for it. They do the absolute bare minimum; it seems they prefer to run tenants in circles in hopes you get too overwhelmed with the back-and-forth and move on instead of actually doing the work they're paid to do. There are a plethora of bad property management companies in Winnipeg but Genesis is at the top of the list.

Edit: Their condescending reply to my review should speak for itself.
Whether I was "a little confused" or not, the issue remains the same - Genesis led me on for nine months "as a courtesy" and lied to me about how the issue would be remedied.

I can't say enough great things about the property at 399 Stan Bailie Drive. Genesis Property Management Group is a wonderful company to rent from, everything is straight forward and reasonable (no hidden fees or agendas) and the building it self is absolutely stunning and so well cared for. The suites are all beautiful, spacious and modern + the building is pet friendly with amazing people! Not only is Genesis a wonderful company, but Jennifer Betsill the property manager is unlike any other. She is absolutely amazing and such a pleasure to work with! You would be lucky to rent from Genesis.

Absolutely terrible property management. They never have an on-site property manager ever. They don’t have a number to reach them at all, they say email only. They’re not accommodating at all and they’re extremely demanding when needing access to a suite even if someone were ill or have physical impairments due to health they also refuse to contact other people with access to the areas they need, if when requested for them to do so. So if you have an impairment or an elderly parent or grandparent that live in a property they manage I can guarantee they lack complete empathy and expect them to move things without any assistance. Absolute worst management company in Winnipeg by far. Definitely the reason I’m choosing to move and not stay at the condo I’m currently at since they took over. They’re absolutely impossible to reach even if in emergency on weekends and evenings. For them to say they’re one of the best property management companies in the city, is a joke. They need to reevaluate how to actually manage properties and how to communicate with clients.

Update: the response still is not enough as they still show zero improvement to the property. Just over the weekend in the no parking zone in the parking lot it was blocked off and residents had no access to their PAID parking spots for the entire day. Due to no manager on site there was of course nothing done. There has been a pile of bricks in the middle of the walking path through the complex for over a week now and they still haven’t cleared it. Simply put it, they’re all talk absolutely zero action.
