Sat. July 5th went in with my wife and her work mate to return bottles. New with there rules and regulations. while grabbing a cart and a trolley I asked a nice older gentleman (shorter white man late 50s) for instructions and he gave me a brief rundown on how it works etc I was happy with his information and helpful attitude. Upon my first trip to the bottle return counter I returns numerous items and was handed back 3 items the young rude boy serving me seems to be really upset with his job and had a very stinky attitude. I asked about the bottles he returned to me and he told me they don’t except them and there is a recycling center next door that does. I simply said that wierd you don’t take plastics bottle like the rest I just gave you. He replied with a rude demeanor saying I just finished telling you there is a recycle yard next door. Anyhow I brushed off his rude demeanour and said thank you. Moving forward 15 mins later I told my wife just go down her self but she insisted I come for our second load of Returns. Upon arriving back at the counter there was 6 employees standing there doing nothing and we started to pass buckets of bottles. At first it was a breeze they were handling it great then the same rude boy came back to the front and just stair after I pass a bucket with 6 2 liter bottles in it he don’t speak just staring I said are you going to take these and he just started giving massive attitude. I then told him he should be more Polite to customers and enjoy his job. He continued to give snark remarks and have an attitude. I started to request if he has a manager to speak with. He then started trying to defend himself and say he was being polite and I brought up the fact he was super rude to me earlier when asking about what to do with the items they don’t except. So he ends up getting offended and running off to get his manager. At this point another rude man approaches me saying what’s my name. I immediately gave my name and offed my hand for a hand shake and asked him what’s his name.he denied shaking my hand and didn’t offer his name In return Instead asking me why I’m swearing at his employees. I replied saying I did not swear at your employee I simply asked him to not be so rude to customers. (Here with me wife and her friend ) again I asked him for his name and asked him if he is the manager and Informed him that his employees working at the front are being very ignorant. He told me his name was Wayne and that he is the manager. We were able to deescalate the situation and move forward with the transaction without any further issues. Wayne wouldn’t shake my hand due to COVID đŸ€Šâ€â™‚ïž anyways I just told him I dont appreciate being treated with disrespect from unhappy ignorant employees and that was that. I would recommend having a team of peope that enjoy there jobs and are friendly and respectful to customers coming though. We brought in 100 worth of returns and we will not be bringing back any further business there due to the team working the front. I will state Wayne was able to handle the situation reasonably considering he really didn’t have the truth in what conspired. And the first elderly man that helped me with information was exceptional and happy to share information with a cheerful attitude. Hence the 2 stars if it wasn’t for that this would be 1 star max interaction. Please talk with your staff particularly the younger guys maybe mid to late 20s about how to talk and communicate with customers and if they don’t like there job maybe find a new one. What a way to ruin my mood on a happy cheerful Saturday afternoon. Without a personal apology for the horrible attitude presented today I will not be bringing back business again. I can also see from the reviews I’m not the first person to have a. Horrible experience with your company. To the owner of this business I appreciate your att to this matter and truly hope you find a great team of employees to welcome customers and help with information if necessary. Not all of us know exactly how things work etc and shouldn’t feel bad for it.

Missed pick up due to “notes for driver” can was on right side of the house as they asked , but notes said left side. Refuses to come back and pick up . What’s the point of paying if you have to drive and dump it yourself . Asked to speak to a manager , was hung up on . GFL is terrible . Go with any other competitor

Just terrible. They skip my recycling all the time, what am I paying you guys for? Once or twice, I get it, stuff happens. But it's like every 4-6 weeks they show up to do their job. Horrible service.

Unreliable company...switched for Capital City Recycling

Garbages not been picking up on a regular basis, when contacting them about it, they had no clue it wasnt picked up, then using the same excuses " We have a new driver " but still getting charge for it.
