The Victoria Chamber of Commerce hosts fantastic events on timely issues facing British Columbians, and is supported by exceptional staff. I recently had the pleasure of working with Marketing and Engagement Assistant Maddy Morrison who provided professional and skilled support in resolving a technical issue while registering for upcoming luncheons with BC political party leaders. Maddy was responsive to the issue, provided options to troubleshoot the issue, and then networked with the right people internally resolve the issue. I will continue to support the events of the Victoria Chamber of Commerce, but it's really the people who make this organization the success that it is.

The Chamber totally screwed the Victoria taxi industry by supporting Uber. They should endorse Airbnb and see how many of their hotel members hang around. A disgusting organization.

Unbelievable! That is the only word I can think of to describe the new policy by Victoria restaurants...utterly unbelievable! It is impossible to make a reservation for parties greater than 6?! I guess Victoria restaurateurs would rather collect subsidies from the Provincial and Federal governments instead of serving meals to hungry customers. I've been eating at IL Terrazzo for over 20 years...and I've had my last meal there. After speaking with mngt they have informed me that no restaurant in downtown Victoria will accept a reservation for greater than 6 people....utterly unbelievable! The reason: they are not able to find quality staff and therefore, they are not able to provide a quality meal or experience. Unbelievable?! To the Chamber of Commerce, shame on you for allowing this policy. Your shortsighted approach to providing quality meals in greater Victoria will ultimately lead to more restaurants closing up. People looking to celebrate special events - in this case an 80th birthday for 9 people - will realize that Victoria is not the place to arrange those events. How sad. How ignorant. How crazy! We are canceling 4 hotel rooms (for 3 nights each) plus high tea at the Empress and Spa days for the entire family. Calculate the lost revenue from just one family as a result of your insane restaurant reservation policy ...what a shame. The people tasked with helping businesses in Victoria prosperity, can allow their members to hold parties of 6 or more hostage. Does BC Ferries know of your ridiculous policies? Your decision to cap reservations at 6 has far greater reach than any of you have anticipated. I beg you to reconsider your policies- not for my mother's 80th birthday as we've already canceled our ferry and hotels - but for others who may still believe that Victoria restaurants truly want business from visitors to your city. What a shame....as I said, utterly unbelievable!

I am posting this review because of my treatment by Groupe Denux, Galatia Realty Inc and their representative Ed and Brenda Kisilewich.
Brenda and Ed Kisilewich arranged for a legal entry into my apartment, #103 3287 Quadra sheet Victoria British Columbia at 1:00 p.m. today. They have failed to appear. I have offered them rent money many times over and today I have $2,000 to pay for December 2023 rent. I State this as a fact and thus there can be absolutely no claim filed against me for failure to pay rent on my unit #103 3287 Quadra Street Victoria British Columbia. I request to be served with a Order of Possession at your earliest convenience. My intentions are quite simple, I wish to have this matter settled in the Supreme Court of British Columbia. On December 1, 2023 I will be seeking an Order of Possession for rental unit #103 3287 Quadra Street Victoria British Columbia. Moneies for rental unit #103 3287 I just hit Victoria Bridge Columbia are available immediately. All l you have to do is collect the rent money. Unless you have some reason to discriminate against me personally please file that order of possession.

I am giving them two stars for how wonderful Carmen was to me on the phone. However, they did a walking event and activity and I went to it, trying to move here from the United States when I do not live in a free country. I really felt that I was completely left behind by people and I had told everyone in advance that I would walk slow because I have a torn meniscus. It was not a good feeling, and I suggest that you do not do that to people who are overwhelmed with the process of immigrating, just trying to hold it together before they fall apart to be around some people, and get some kindness.
