Very friendly and knowledgeable! Howard helped me understand processes and explained the pros and cons of both bankruptcy and consumer proposal. He really helped me make a confident decision and walked me through everything! I highly recommend Hoyes Michalos. I couldn't sleep, didn't have a day with thinking of my next bill payment, stress was my closest friend. I was told about a debt consolidation, I got some info online, still wasn't sure if it was a good idea nevertheless I needed help. With more online search I gathered info about HOYES... a phone call to them then in person meeting, I could see a change coming.
I was told that a consumer proposal would work for me, which i accepted now I'm saving money, making my monthly payments on time and getting some sleep, my close friend STRESS, is no longer around.
I'm pleased to recommend the team at Hoyes, Michalos & Associates inc they changed things for me I'm sure they will do it for you ? call them.

I posted this message before but it conveniently got deleted. I lost my house and all of its contents to a natural event. The insurance company denied my claim and I was left homeless and eventually lost my job. I sought out Hoyes, Michalos for assistance. They offered assistance by way of a consumer proposal and I filed the necessary paperwork. When all was said and done, I paid more than all of my debts combined plus their fee. Theodore Michalos did not care that I had lost everything I own and was homeless...only wanted to know how and when I could pay his fee (another claim against my credit if unpaid). I see many negative reviews but find them quickly removed. Arrogance in the face of defeat.

I was completely overwhelmed with small loan depts. I had researched and found Hoyes, Michalos and Associates. I reached out online and was immediately connected with Howard, who is by far the most kind, sympathetic, and helpful person I've met. Unlike others, he didn't make me feel more hopeless than I did already. He walked me through the entire process, told me all my options, and explained what would be my best options. He was very honest and upfront with my situation and found me a plan where I could pay back my debtors in a timeframe and with a payment plan I could afford AND be able to have money for groceries each month. Getting breathing room in my budget again felt like a miracle. I'm still very early in the process, but am very pleased. I would recommend, Hoyes, Michalos and Associates and Howard to anyone who is literally suffering with debt and feeling like there's no light at the end of the tunnel.

Absolutely impressed with the service and counseling offered here at Hoyes, Michalos & Associates thanks to Howard getting me started. Patricia offered great alternatives with her counseling to get myself back on track with my budget and future plans as well. These wonderful folks here at Hoyes care about you. And that's how I feel when dealing with them. I would highly recommend them, especially if you feel like you have no where else to turn to for help.

Best thing I have ever done was make the call to Hoyes, Michaelis and associates. The feelings of anxiety and embarrassment were quickly washed away from the moment I spoke to Howard. He was full of knowledge and empathy. I was thoroughly informed as to my options and made the best decision with guidance that I trusted completely. My follow up with Patricia was so helpful .....
