I’ve taken so much to the Welland Landfill Site over many years.

Every time I go I’m met with the nicest employees not only at the first window, but driving up to where employees advise where to put the stuff, to the pay window on the way out.

I was there August 29th with a big variety. The lady was so nice and so helpful. I had a list of what I was getting rid of and asked her to put the number of the bin beside the items of where to deposit. She helped me greatly. If not for her putting the number of the bin on my list I would have forgotten.

Terrible service, brought oil in and was told there was a 20 liter limit, no where on website does it mention this, only mentions containers can not be bigger than 20 liters. Believe worker was to lazy to dump containers, will never return to this location. Went to Fort Erie after this with no issue and much more pleasant staff.

Got to say, don't know if it's new people running the Goodwill donation center there but we've been bringing great stuff down there for a while now and they've accepted NOTHING of it. Pretty amazing to think they get the opportunity to set up shop there and accept nothing you bring there at first glance. I know how much action they get in the run of a week and I know how much comes out of there. It's a misuse of this opportunity to turn away great donations that ultimately ended up in the dump. This is an organization that "prides itself" on diverting waste from the landfill, and here we are at the entrance of a landfill with good stuff (some valuable collectables with no room at my house) and they're being turned away by a young kid that doesn't want to process them. Pretty wild stuff. Anyways. I know first hand this was at one point a decent organization and this is what you're getting now. Lazy and ineffective people collecting a paycheck. The good stuffs gonna end up going to Port Thrift from here on out because I could not care less who gets it anymore.

Just wanted to let people know Humberstone doesnt close at 5:00. They place a huge truck in front of the gate at about 4:45 and dont allow anyone in at that point. This wouldnt be a problem if this was posted on there site. If you close at 4:45 please say so. Wasting my time is just as important as there going home. I wonder what time they actually get paid to be there for. 5:00 or 5:30.

They have this secured like it’s the border, not allowed to dump soil, not allowed to accidentally dump in the wrong spot, if you go across the red light accidentally you’re getting yelled at by the women who has no patience in the booth, you’re getting inspected at every stop - it’s easier to get your PR card then to dump debris or garbage at this stupid “landfill”. It’s not a surprise people continue to dump illegally here in the niagara region!!
