Contrary to the original reviews we had seen, we received disappointing and unprofessional service. Firstly, they double-booked our appointment slot, which was inconvenient but manageable. However, the real issue was what seemed to be a lack of knowledge and inability to provide the service we had requested when booking. We specifically asked them to review our friend's completed open work permit application to make sure we hadn't missed anything that may cause delay. Instead, they insisted on rechecking eligibility, incorrectly deemed our friend ineligible several times, and only corrected their mistake after we proved them wrong using the government website (we already knew she was eligible as we had filled out and met all the requirements on the IRCC Canada website). When we finally got to what we came for, they said they couldn't possibly review the application, claiming it would take too long (despite us paying for their time). We ended up paying $159 (we were just under the half hour mark) for nothing. We should have been told they couldn't help us with what we were looking for at the time when we booked the appointment. This wasted our time and theirs.
Happy we later found a lovely immigration consultant in Calgary who actually did what we requested.
