I lived in a Leston Holdings property from August to February, and unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing despite a promising start.

The initial viewing with Connor was great—professional and informative—which gave me hope for a smooth rental experience. However, things quickly went downhill.

I had requested underground parking when I signed the lease but never received it and was given no updates or follow-ups. Throughout my stay, there was a constant rotation of property managers—often changing monthly—with little to no notice or consistency. This resulted in major communication issues, especially when it came to important topics like pets and parking.

The building was advertised as pet-friendly, but there was no clear information on what that actually meant. Despite seeing many dogs in the building, I was later told pets weren't allowed, forcing me to break my lease. This came with a hefty price—an extra month’s rent and cleaning fees. Additionally, I had found a replacement tenant on my own, yet still had to pay a re-rental fee. The entire lease break process was slow, frustrating, and poorly managed.

Other ongoing issues included constant noise from neighboring units, a frustratingly small fridge, and frequent unauthorized use of my parking spot. When I brought up the parking issue, there was no effort made to resolve it.

Communication with property managers was one of the biggest challenges. They were often unresponsive, and the frequent turnover only made things worse. Overall, while the property had some potential, the lack of organization, transparency, and tenant support made my experience a negative one.

Please do your research before renting here. Don’t rely on the positive reviews, alot of them are fake and don’t reflect the real experience.

Unfortunately, the property managers are often unresponsive to emails and follow-ups, which many other tenants have also mentioned. It feels very disrespectful when tenant concerns are repeatedly ignored. It’s just rude. Unethical. Property managers are to help, not give tenants anxiety from their unanswered concerns.

We’ve been living here for a few months now. While the photos of the renovated units look great, the quality doesn’t hold up. The flooring, in particular, is already shifting and feels unstable. When I raised this with maintenance, I was told this is a common issue and typically only gets addressed after tenants move out. I also spoke with another tenant who said their unit has even worse flooring issues. Sound insulation is poor, you can clearly hear people walking in the units below.

It’s disappointing to see so many corners being cut, especially when Leston is doing monopoly in the city. It feels like rushed, half assed just sloppy. Now a lot more people will suffer.

If you're considering moving in, please please please take the time to talk to the current residents and get a full picture. The property managers may seem helpful at first, but once you're locked into a lease, communication becomes very difficult.

The landlord is extremely rude. Makes discriminatory personal comments, very unprofessional and prejudice. Entered suite without giving 24 hours notice to multiple tenants not just me, changed my locks on my door with out giving notice before my hearing date. Breach of confidentiality ( shouts out your business out in the open in front of everyone to hear. Also talks behind people's backs to other tenants, even worst" listens into the cameras 3 hours every single night". Evicted nearly all of tenants from Enoch cree nation. Isn't willing to negotiate or work with you at all! instant denial if she doesn't "deem you worthy" so it feels like especially considering the way she treats people who aren't as " fancy as her"! Her own daughter lives there and is always getting into fights with people and the boyfriend too but they don't get evicted when they actually should've! Threatens tenants instantly for almost any reason of either eviction or charging them extra money for example if can't move in one hour over time of elevator use will be charged 150$. Forced out by police before hearing without having a eviction letter of any court order at all. Is this what Leston holdings stands for? Please help here! This is too much out of control and definitely not helping prevent homelessness! One very hurt and extremely saddened tenant here ☹️ Stars 0 for this place due to poor management. P.S. it's true when they say it "Don't fall for the fake reviews! " Speak to tenants surrounding this place personally. They'll say it too that this landlord is a nightmare at its worst, it's very disheartening. I don't believe this is what Leston stands for and maybe they don't know the truth or what's going on but this is it so please if in case your unaware please contact me I have some very serious issues to discuss.

I have been renting with Leston for almost a year now and it’s been great! They keep the buildings and property nice and clean. Anytime I have needed to submit a maintenance request it’s been handled in a timely manner. Paula was very helpful and welcoming on my day of move in even though she was busy with an open house she still made sure I had what I needed. I highly recommend renting with Leston Holdings.
