If you are planning to move in these apartments I would say big NO please save your hard work money these guys looting new renters. they ask money to fix the small things I am paying 2200 for single bedroom including utilities everyday there's something broken and this building is very very old and needs high maintenance if you ever think to move in apartment don't come here they are so greedy doesn't help with single thing. I have been living here from 1 year .In 1 year 30 times my kitchen and bathroom sink got clogged nd each time they ask 25$ to fix it and also if you call head office they aren't helpful they talk in very rude manner. Even though in winters they don't provide heating just gives you portable heater which is illegal in Canada . I would highly recommend you to go get yourself a basement suite by paying 1300 dollar you can live there in peace.

Cameron Manor Apartments is great! Very well maintained and the manager, John, is an awesome guy. Highly recommended!

EDIT: We recently moved out, and our stay from start to finish was perfect. Kudos to John, the building manager, for being such an amazing landlord!

I am currently moving out of my place on Cameron St in New Westminster. I have been a tenant with Mainstreet for 16 years, 11 of them being in my current location. The most significant reason I stayed in my location is John, the building manager. He cares for the tenants, and really is doing his best to give them a quality of life and caring of the building so that tenants feel safe, secure and appreciated.

Mainstreet, however, is a different story. My "remodeled" apartment was rushed and it shows. The work was done cheaply, with little attention to some important details (like making sure the kitchen counter was level). The original hardwood floors should have been replaced, as the nails were coming out, in part due to issues with the underlying flooring. My unit had repeated flooding in the bathroom, resulting in sewage in the wall, which was never cleaned out. I'm certain that black mold is in the walls, which has been causing me distress of late.

The race to the bottom in terms of the quality of work for their remodeling, and getting the most money for the least possible investment seems to be the guiding principle that Mainstreet uses to justify how they run things. They are a corporate entity that invests in properties and turns them around to make money. I get that. But PEOPLE live here. The decisions they make have real consequences for residents, and I don't think the upper management cares one way or another how their decisions affect the people who reside here.

I would have given only 1 star, but John alone makes it two.

(1/4/24) - UPDATE
As of today, I have yet to be contacted by Mainstreet regarding my review. It's pretty clear their response was to appear that they considered what I have to say, without having to actually consider what I have to say.

I could write a novel on all the reasons why Mainstreet is a terrible property manager, but in the interest of time, I'll just say this, AVOID AT ALL COST! As their name suggests, they only care about building equity and couldn't care less about providing you a decent and safe place to live. Being under the property management of Mainstreet was the worst experience my family and I ever had with a landlord.

If you are unfortunate enough to be in dealings with Mainstreet, you should study the RTB regulations because you are going to need it, and may the odds be ever in your favor

I have been living in Cameron Manor 2 in New West for a couple months now. I usually do not leave reviews unless I feel the need to speak up about something. This is my review of the building, its management and the company as a whole.

The building has its flaw here and there, but overall, it has its own charms and is quite welcoming. For those who seek to rent here, you must understand you are renting an older building.

I, however, am impressed by the professionalism and caring nature of the building manager, John. First and foremost, He has always been very responsive since the day I came to put in my application. If there was any problems, he would try his best to resolve it in the most efficient way. Not only that, he goes out of his way to make his tenants feel understood and welcomed. Not many people take their work seriously these days, but John not only try his best to make us feel at home, but also feel relieved to know that someone out there still care for us. Thus, whoever is reading this, I would suggest you seriously consider renting here.

As for the company, I have dealt with renting at another location of Mainstreet, I was blatantly ignored. However, I must say the management at Cameron Manor has made up for that. I hope that you will seriously look into all the goods that John has done for his tenants. He is truly the reason I still want to rent and stay here.

The elevator has been broken for months leaving elderly tenants essentially trapped on upper levels. The place is infested with roaches, the hallways stink, homeless hang out in the stairwells and corridors. No on site security. Every Amazon package gets stolen. Laundry machines are card only, which can only be replenished in the management office which is closed evenings and weekends, meaning it's difficult to add funds if you actually work for a living. And they want a small fortune for the privilege of living there.

Management is very nice and they are attentive though, so there is that.

So Joanna the Property Manager for Pacific Park has gotta be be the one reason you stay there.. She was helpful , friendly, very approachable and professional. She worked with my schedule to see that my move into my first apt was smooth and straight forward. She always had a smile and would see that any concern was taken care of. I'm gonna miss the neighbours and staff of this property. It's an old building but it works and is clean.
