When selling a house these days (post Covid) one must be prepared to wait it out. Especially if they are living in more remote areas such as the South Shore of Nova Scotia. It's just not Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver although many of the residents are from those places. Picking the right agent to sell (or buy) a property is key and having ones that know the area and understand it as only a local can was key in my decision to go with Exit's Mark That Sold Sheri and Mark. There attention to detail no matter the size and their willingness to work hard convinced me they were the right choice. Still, one needs to be patient (when selling) but they never had any doubt my house would sell and to their word it did. I will add that I was on the other side of the world in Australia as the deal came through. Even with me down under, them in NS and the buyers in BC we all managed to work together to close this deal. I could not recommend these agents more. I felt listened to and understood. Any questions or concerns were always addressed straight away. Do yourself a favor and if you are looking to buy or sell, consider these agents.

Where do I start with this dynamic duo. Mark and Cheri are literally the best real estate agents I have ever worked with. After some failed attempts to purchase land in another county I found Cheri and Mark online in order to facilitate a purchase of a cottage for my mother's estate.

Being jaded by all realtors at the time I decided to forgo using a buyers real estate agent and navigate this myself.

Of course this was a grave mistake, as I had no clue the amount of work it takes to close a deal, especially from an hour and a half away.

These two, were truly a god-send. They were so patient with me and never once made me feel stupid for not knowing a single thing real estate- wise. In essence I felt like one of their clients at times.

Cheri was quick to respond. Even answering questions and calls well into the evening and weekends and made herself available whenever required.

They both advised me and my mother on all the required people to contact and there were quite a lot. They were also able to facilitate this purchase virtually which was so helpful given the distance to my current home.

Mark was so knowledgeable about the area, the people as well as homes in general. And was a great balance to the team. It seemed that they never missed a beat.

I cannot recommend these two enough. Their connection is obvious and it shines through their work. Do not make the mistake of not working with these guys.

Oh and Candence in the office was also amazing. Same response to emails. You will never not be able to get a hold of this team to help you through your future purchase.

To those who are looking for the “right” real estate agent, I would like to share our recent experience with Mark and his team.

After 26 years in our home at the lake, my husband and I decided it was time to move to an apartment. Late August last year, I met with Mark and Cheri to discuss our future plans, though we were not ready to list until we had a firm date for our apartment availability, hopefully early 2025. When I told our neighbour of our plans to have Mark sell our property, he said “you have chosen the best, Mark sells places that never even make it to market”. And that is what happened for us.

Late November, Mark called asking permission to show our property to a couple from out of town, while acknowledging that we were not yet prepared to sell. There was no pressure put on us from Mark, he was just asking if we were interested. We agreed. Within 5 days we had a sales agreement in place along with a lease agreement allowing us to rent back our home until our apartment becomes available. This arrangement was all orchestrated by Mark, showing his ingenuity and understanding of and attention to his client’s (our) needs. Throughout the process, Mark has been there to provide his informed insight, support and guidance.

From the outset, Mark, Cheri and Candice have been professional, efficient and highly responsive to all our questions and concerns. Mark has made this entire experience smooth and stressless. I would like to add that this was the 7th property we have bought and sold over the years and without question, this has been the most positive.
