Ali is helping my daughter who has been in pain since a mountain biking accident. Ali is doing more than providing treatment, relief and care for her, she is helping her get her confidence back by allowing her to understand what is going on in her body and why she feels the way she does. Ali even came to her mountain bike race to see her in action and assess how she could help her even more. She also gave her exercices do to right away to help with the pain and recovery, and has created an exercice program for her. Ali is going above and beyond what any therapist has ever done for our daughter and we are incredibly thankful!

Recently, I had an Achilles injury and was limping quite badly. Ali diagnosed the issue and started a program to address my Achilles issue. The program was extremely effective and made my Achilles much better. I don't know what I would have done if it wasn't for Ali. Thank you for all you did. I am grateful I can continue my activities like tennis again with no pain or soreness.

Before my testimonial I would like to give you a background of my health. I was diagnosed at age 2 with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis in 1962. I started using crutches to help with walking at age 12. Both hip replacements were at age 15, both knee replacements at age 18 and both shoulder replacements at age 20 and 21.Since then I have had both hips revised and 1 full replacement. Physio was always offered to me from the Arthritis Society before and after surgery but never in between as I am overall in no pain due to my surgery's and medication. For the last 30 years I have severe Osteoporosis and Ankylosis Spondylosis, causing fractures in my leg and forearm. And discs in my C4,5 and 6 due to a fall which cause a short term paralysis.
During the pandemic like many, my activities decreased and I felt I was loosing strength in my legs. Out of the blue I happened to hear about Ali Boudewyn and her specialty in working one to one with clients with MS and Parkinson's. She was close by and offered sessions in her home, for those not comfortable in public gyms.
Our first hour consultation was Ali learning of my health history, my limitations and what I wanted to gain. My goal was to get out of my chair with more ease and to strengthen my legs and arms. Resistance/ strengthening exercise was the plan. Ali knew my concern with my Osteoporosis (soft bones) and my replacements, concern of loosening the joints and possible re-fractures. She assured me her degree would not allow her to jeopardize my health in any way.
Comfortable with this, I first signed up with 3 sessions/ 1 hour a week, just to see if this was the right fit for me. It was perfect and within those 3 sessions I felt stronger already. I then continued with 8 more weeks/ 1 hour a week. I have now completed this last session and have reached my goals considerably. I definitely feel stronger in my legs and arms which help me walking with crutches. I told Ali I will see her in the new year. My health is important and I feel it necessary to keep my strength up. Also during this time she helped me with a few pulled muscles which went away within the next day.
Ali is wonderful, personable and so easy to work with. For those of you suffering with any mobility issues I highly recommend meeting with Ali Boudewyn and see what she can do for you. Thank you Ali

I have had nothing but the best experience with Ali. Ali is amazing with kids as she has helped both my kids with problems. My daughter went to see her after she broke her elbow to help her get the motion back in her arm a few sessions with her and my daughters arm was back to normal. My daughter has told me she wanted to hurt herself again so she can go back and see Ali. My son goes to see her for his knees she is great at squeezing him in between clients to tape up his knees before a basketball game on short notice. She also works on me after I have been in two car accidents in less then 2 months apart. She is great at what she does and takes the time to listen. She is an amazing person and I would recommend Ali to anyone.

I met Ali while she was instructing a mountain bike fitness class with Adam from the Cycling Co. She is a great fitness instructor and designed fun and challenging workouts. She led group stretching afterwards which was also very helpful.

About 5 weeks into the classes i injured an ACL skiing. My Doc said to rest but a consult with Ali allowed her to design workouts to work on both rehab/healing and prevention of further injury. After the classes were over she followed up regularly to ensure I was improving or if i had any questions concerns.

Fast forward about a year and back to running when I developed an overuse injury. I called Ali and we did set up a virtual consult. It was s thorough and effective as our in-person consult previously. The online platform was easy to use and we connected via the platform at our time. Ali was able to walk me through all of the things she needed to see to help with diagnosis and we were able to work through a series of exercises to help heal the injury. Again Ali continued to follow up via email to ensure i understood the instructions and to make sure i was making progress.

The online consult was actually so good that as i move away from Victoria I will continue to use Ali and Meraki Wellness Solutions as my Athletic Therapist of choice.
