This is a decent thrift store. I came to buy a working microwave and some glasses for my home. They even let you go to the back to test the microwave before purchasing it. That was great service.

This place is a God send, the staff are friendly and helpful and their prices are mostly fair.

I have bought some very nice quality pieces here and when donating, they even pick up when you gave a fair bit to give.

They deserve all the community support they receive.

It’s places like this that help families afford to have the things they need to thrive.

Thank you for all you do.

Staff is nice, I dont understand the negative reviews. The workers are all sweet old ladys who volunteer their time. Prices are as a thrift store should be, not jacked up to near new prices thr big name thrift store.

I purchased an item from this shop a few weeks ago. It was a battery-operated desk-top fountain with rocks, a light, and a water pump.

In addition to the price, the tag said "Works."

As it was battery-operated, when I asked if I could check it out, I was told they did not have batteries, but was again assured that it worked.

I got the thing home, put batteries and water in it, and it did not work.

I took it back to the shop on my next trip to Mission. I even brought a box-full of stuff to donate.

Three people came to look at it (a bit over-the-top in my opinion, but whatever) and various comments were made such as, "It worked when it left here," and "buyer beware."

I gave-up at this point, as I might as well have been talking to the wall. I picked up the box of stuff I had to donate - easily enough for them to raise $50.00 - and left. A bit short-sighted on their part, as has they given me even a store credit for the $17.00 I spent, they would have been out $0.00 and made at least another $50.00 ... not to mention the money I'd spend there on future trips.

Instead, they will get no further business from me (which is too bad, as I always found items worth buying every time I went there). Oh well ... there are far more business-savvy, and customer-focused places where I can - and will - spend my cash.

Horrid, racist employees. I’m so disgusted by my experience here. I stood in front of one woman for five minutes while she ignored me and helped every white customer around her. I said excuse me multiple times. I even asked if her till was open, she ignored me and kept speaking to everybody else. Another employee tried hard to hide her behaviour, kept joking around and sidetracking. I asked her if the cashier was ignoring me and she said “don’t worry she does it to me, too.” This is an absolute lie, by the way. It eventually became clear to me that she wasn’t going to help me, so I dumped the dress at the counter. I told her she was a racist then left. There’s no way I’m spending my money at a place that won’t serve me because of my race. What a shame that some still operate as though it is the 1950s. I’d love to get the place shut down, but I’m wary only because I know it supports the hospital. I guess some people just can’t help but be absolutely revolting. If you’re a person of colour, save your money. Spend it somewhere you’ll actually be treated with basic respect.

Love this store. The volunteer staff are so nice, and they keep the place very tidy. The prices are excellent compared with other, larger thrift stores in town. I got all the kitchen stuff for my RV here for $30, and it is high quality stuff.
