Thanks to Dan and his team we have a fabulous new deck. They were very good communicators and the deck was built as scheduled. We weren’t onsite while it was being built but numerous neighbors commented on their focus on the work. We are hoping to do another project with them!

Niche design framed our house in summer 2023 (one of the busiest times in the history of Nova Scotia's housing market). Despite this, losing a lead hand mid project, and many rainy days, they still managed to complete our project on time and on budget. The clear communication from Dan Booth and his entire team made for a worry free build. Everything was clear right from the contract stage to the finished product. Dan went above and beyond with regards to answering client questions. Many trades and building inspectors were amazed at the quality of Niche-Designs work. We had one small issue, a door would not fit in the framed opening. Despite realizing this after the final payment had been made, Dan owned this, and came right back to fix it. Dan and his team took pride in their work, and I can 100% reccomend Niche-Design for your next project.

Traumatizing experience dealing with this company. We started dealing with this company almost a year before we purchased a lot and creating a home design plan. Prices were too good to be true, that should have been my first warning sign. We purchased drawings for $3600.00 from Niche and found out later you can get this done for $1000,00. When they were pricing out our home design, they must have quickly released that this project was much more expensive than communicated, perhaps that is a lack of experience. They sent an email dropping us and not even giving us the build costs or the choice to decide if this was something we could adjust for. This left us scrambling to find another builder. Upon giving our drawings done by Niche to other builders, they all laughed and said these need to be redone and structurally impossible to build. I communicated this to Niche requesting my money back. They refused and updated the useless drawings and sent them to me, felt like a slap in the face. Again, a reminder that they were structurally impossible to build. In the end this experience left me broken and untrusting to any other builder and made the very sad decision to sell my dream lot and look for a resale. This experience totally changed the direction of my life plans. Thank you for breaking my bank and my hopes and dreams. You left a lasting impression; I hope you are happy with yourselves.

Highly, highly recommend these guys. Very professional, and perfectionists when it came to every detail. I have many gardens surrounding my house and was freaked out about the destruction as it was spring. There were NO casulties. Very neat, cleaned up everything spotless, and had wonderful senses of humor! We were sad to see them go after the job was done, and it was a big job. Our home feels 100% safer!
Split entry - all new siding, extra insulation, 15 new windows of varying sizes, new front and back doors, new back deck, open shed for wood (holds three cords), new soffet vents and I'm sure I'm forgetting something.
Did I mention that cost came under budget even with the extra window put in and the extra insulation that was required as it was under code? (not discovered until old siding was torn off)
