Good staff, over years of living here this is the inferior grocery store. Discounts are sometimes 5 cents off, sometimes I’ve seen them higher than the normal price. Over the Christmas holidays they threatened to not put the meat on sale because people were grabbing them too fast, so the meat sat in the store. Produce from here is gross. Northmart justifies prices with distance, but if we’re paying that much at least put okay quality products out.

You could find just about anything you wanted in This store, I wish the bathroom door locked though

Within the past year, I've seen a mouse running around the fruit section. The ceiling tends to drip water into to dry good section of the store when it rains. It's OK though they put buckets down to catch it. There's about 4 layers of floor so it's wavy in some places and some holes. Granted the building is VERY old, but I feel like they could invest a little more into their upkeep given the building is in the center of town.

This place has a good selection of groceries, some clothing and footwear, pet supplies, household appliances, limited selection of hardware and furniture, a pharmacy, a coffee shop and a pizza and chicken snack counter. Remarkably the place even sells snowmobiles. Northmart is an extremely old building which has been severly neglected by its parent company Northwest Company,Winnipeg, where shareholders get generous dividends while Northmart employees work in a grungy, dirty outdated, poorly lit, fire trap. The public washrooms have been closed off due to misuse. The best thing about Inuvit's Northmart is the employees are consistently friendly and helpful.
Prices are mostly high, with a few loss leaders occasionally and the occasional 50% off on near expired items.
Yes you can buy sunglasses, sunscreen and bug repellant.
Sorry no alcohol sales here or loitering.

Awesome place, great spot to pick up reserves if your camping. The KFC/Pizza Hut employee's work their butts off due to long lineups. Love the Art on the exterior of the building.
