Highly doubtful; rude fraudulent renting company, things are not as claimed while arrogant behavior from their staff. Documentation is like marriot hotel and their units are like slums in Africa. Please be careful dealing with these guys; if you have to.

As someone from Vancouver, it takes a lot to shock me in term of rental prices. But these goons are charging $1800 for a small studio with an incredibly awkward layout, you can see the fridge doesn't even fit in the "kitchen".
At least in Vancouver we have good wages and decent healthcare wait times. To charge prices like this in Halifax for a studio is insane.
You're not even allowed a pet. And there isn't even laundry included - only coin operated in the building.
Oh, and $150 a month additional for parking.
I pay $90 a month for covered parking in Vancouver.

How do you justify these prices? You are disgusting leeches.

I feel for my fellow Canadians, businesses like this are ruining the country, and I hope you get what you deserve one day Ann and co.

Mice, cockroach, silverfish infested. I wish i could leave a zero star review. Gaslighting rude workers. Illegally asked for and kept last months rent wouldn’t give back. Stay away. They take advantage of you and are constantly plotting against you. All they care about is money. The entire time i lived there it was hell.

I had a beyond frustrating conversation with Melanie in the Beechville, NS office. I provided the top page of my U.S. tax return documenting my income in support of my son's lease application. She declined to accept it, and declined to let me speak with her supervisor. She said my disclosure was selective. I don't know how to be less selective than my IRS submission prepared by PwC documenting my income, which is all that their form requested. She wanted the whole tax return... all 2,000 pages of it! Stay away

Olympus Properties hates to see me coming. I won in tenancy court against them for the following story and 6 months later and still fighting for my money- I’ve been told by their staff that I need to escalate it to small claims court.

I ended my lease two months early with Olympus properties as I have not been able to find work since September and could not afford the unit without employment. I orginally wanted to sublet the unit, but Olympus told me I could only sublet for two months (which I know now is completely obscure). They said “if we let you sublet we would have to let everyone sublet”… which they do? After many tears and paying a $75 fee I decided I had no choice but to do a lease reassignment. The $75 was to cover credit check costs of applicants, however, it was my responsibility to advertise, show the unit, and refer applicants to the property management application process (Olympus Properties). After two weeks of advertising and showing, I had an applicant reach out to me saying that Olympus had told him the unit was not available. Confused, I called and inquired why this was so. They had told me nobody applied for the unit, but after name dropping 6 applicants their story quickly changed to "we can't find someone who wants to live in the unit for two months." Of course, they were not making this easy. Rather than finding an applicant who could stay in the unit and sign a new lease in May. I felt very cornered at this point with two weeks left before I would then be responsible for another months rent despite doing everything in my power to withdraw from the responsibility of the unit. For a second time they had offered a "get out of jail free card" where for half a months rent they would "do the showings, credit checks and you will be scotch free March 1st". I had previously discussed this with 3 people at the tendency board and they were all shocked by this. When I mentioned to Olympus Properties that they can not ask for any more money then the $75 for a credit check (stated in the tendency act) I was told, by Olympus Properties that "there are things we do and no don't subscribe to in the tenancy act". Upon taking them to tenancy court, they claimed I harassed them 😂 for informing them of the regulations and trying to execute my rights. Frustrated and cornered, I felt there was nothing else to do but give them my last bit of savings, as I wouldn't be able to afford the rent they were expecting from me in 12 days after continuously rejected my applicants.

In the end, after paying the money, I was never contacted for a showing (the apartment was never shown) and no costs, except for an assumed credit check for the magical new tenant they pulled out of their ass, were inquired.

Pros:

Convenient location in Halifax, close to universities and essential amenities.

Cons:

Pest Issues: Many units are affected by cockroaches, bed bugs, and mice. This is a significant concern for residents.

Laundry Facilities: The laundry machines are frequently out of order, making it difficult to do laundry on-site.

Noise Levels: The floors are quite noisy, and you can often hear footsteps from the units above, which can be disturbing.

Advice for Management:

Pest Control: Implement a comprehensive pest control program. Regular inspections and treatments by a professional pest control service can help manage and eventually eliminate these issues.

Laundry Maintenance: Regularly service and maintain the laundry machines to ensure they are in working order. Consider upgrading to more reliable machines if the current ones are beyond repair.

Noise Reduction: Install soundproofing materials in the floors and ceilings to reduce noise transmission between units. This can significantly improve the living experience for all residents.

I was approved for a rental from this company. Prior to signing a lease they demanded my damage deposit and last months rent,

I informed them that it is illegal in Nova Scotia to require anything more than a security deposit, and this is not due until lease has been signed.

I informed them I would take the unit still once a
lease is signed.

They tried to extort me by stating the only way they would allow me tenancy is if I paid a damage deposit and last months rent prior to signing a lease, they then also expected me to pay my first months rent a week later.

This company is run by criminals and their behaviour is text book extortion. They ended up not renting to me as I’m unwilling to knowingly enter an abusive relationship.
